Why are so many people afraid of clowns?

And since so many people are afraid of clowns, why are they still around and entertaining children at birthday parties and circuses and such?

    This is too easy.

    People like to be frightened.

Why do people spend good money to watch endless sequels of horror slasher movies?

Same reason. They like to be scared.

    And clowns are fucking scary.

Dude. There are no stripes on my skin.

Also, your grammer and writing are just horrible.

You should work on your writing skills, then come back if you have anything to say other than a cliche or two.

I've always wondered about that myself. It seems to be a rather innate fear, and I have not really noticed any rhyme or reason to it's origin myself.

when was about 8 years old my parents took me out to some restraunt, and a clown came to the table to "surprise" me.
I punched him in the face and got in trouble'
but he scared me? and snuck up on me?and im like a kid?
honestly though, i'm not scared of clowns, but I think the event truned me off to the whole artform and it's practitioners.
the high wire ladies with tight outfits seemed somehow more interesting to me in my early teen years, than clowns?
