No, really all we need is for people like you guys to quit jibber jabbering and actually start working the problems as a team. Its clear that most people have been fooled by the intentional dumb down to think that space is impossible.

the truth is thats just one part of the matrixes mental cage, and our drift down into jibber jabber another aspect of entropy which is exploited
for social control.

The actual truth is that we could have warp not ever, be as stupid as possible to keep doing fossil fuels, and never make it off our planet
with full ecosystems before we self destruct... OR, we could have as good as warp drive with a combination of what is possible and being patient with 30 and 100 year voyages.

In short, there is no reason why 20 years from now you couldn't be shipping off to some exoplanet with an arm full of nanites to make you live a thousand years. The only reason why not is that you spend your time throwing it all away, instead of seizing the day and fighting for
the difference between possible futures.

The idea that it is out of reach is an idea put in your head to keep you stupid, it has no basis in reality. The idea that we need FTL is similarly an idiotic subterfuge, because all you really need is patience instead of being so hot to turn everything over in 2 or 5 years.

If you want the possible future star trek, whos to say we aren't even only a decade or two away from warp drive? I have studied the problem
and I can think of two dozen work-a-rounds against relativity or velocity period.

You keep putting it off into an impossible future. But thats just what the hive mind and agent smith want you to do.
In fact right now half the technology we have is intentionally dumbed down, especially cars. We don't need john mccains battery contest,
the batteries for electric are here now and there are full electric cars and even busses now on the road. Its all a con game. Keep you primitive because past certain thresholds science progress renders the economic singularity- where its all robot labor anyways thus
you can build anything at no REAL cost.

In other words, what you think are the limits of technology as it is now are nothing more than the control mechanisms to maintain the economic and caste social systems.

We could be inhabiting as far away as pluto right now were it not for lack of political sanity and thus economic strength.

In short, You give your energy to that fiction when you parrot it, if you WANT to get into space, fight to wake up the system.

9/11: Pentagon Aircraft Hijacking Impossible

Personally, I don't think that the "flight recorder" for the plane that allegedly hit the Pentagon was from whatever actually hit the Pentagon, but let's pretend for a moment that it is. As if we don't already have enough bizarreness surrounding the event which somehow wasn't recorded clearly on any of the cameras around the Pentagon, we now have evidence from the flight recorder that the cockpit doors were never opened during the flight thus contradicting any hijacking scenario. Ths makes sense if the plane was never flown by Hanjour who couldn't fly a paper airplane anyway. It makes more sense if the plane was remotely hijacked electronically and guided to its destination. The maneuvering of the craft in the last minutes was not something a bumbler like Hanjour could ever have accomplished.

The Pilots for 911 Truth site has a ton of compelling evidence that something was very rotten about the aeronautical part of 911.

Presently sharing a house with a female relative who watches so much television (NOT my Grandfather, he did not watch the sort of vulgar fare I'm about to mention ...he liked Columbo and the like, which despite their drawbacks were NOWHERE NEAR as bad as what I am about to mention ), one often overhears some quite disturbing content ...and that is a colossal understatement .

There is ladies and gentleman a newer television show called 'Eastwick'---one of those weird and also insipid newer t.v. series which is some sort of amalgam of supernatural with crime drama with soap opera melodrama ...one of those "sexy" shows there has been a deluge of lately in this present yuppie era of sexy television kitsch...that is very evil .One finds oneself asking ..do the t.v. producers consider anything sacred any more ?

In that television show called 'Eastwick' I overheard two of the characters talking among themselves in a light hearted joking manner about the possibility of a baby having been murdered ! An ifnat being murdered--doesn't that string of words induce shock in anyone anymore ?

(It is bad allready that Mary Hart and her cadre of yuppie minded creeps on Entertainment tonight tapped into a latent voyeurism with child molestation on behalf of the vapid viewing public with the trashy reporting spectacle of the Jon Benet Ramsey murder) .

Granted, the two characters themselves in the show 'Eastwick ' were not joking about themselves perpretating the murder of an infant , nor did they directly claim it would be funny if someone killed an infant and yet the hideous way in which they talked about the murder of an infant had all the weird bemused nonchalant tenor of someone describing , sat, some blunder on a sports field by athletes, which they found amusing .

Yes, the show 'Eastwick; is evil . Evil ! Ah, yes, what we see is evil trendy contemporary pop culture.

The staying power of such shows is the rotten fruit of a politically correct attitude of tolerance and acceptance of respect for opinions that one does not agree with (aka relativism...sellout thinking) .

Why couldn’t Andrews AFB, only 13 miles away, protect the Capital immediately after the 2nd WTC crash at 9:03 am?

Andrews Air Force Base Units (“In their own words” from the Andrews AFB website 2001).

113th Wing (DCANG) “Capitol Guardians”
The 113th now flies the F-16C Fighting Falcon … Training for air combat and operational airlift for national defense is the 113th’s primary mission. However, as part of its dual mission, the 113th provides capable and ready response forces for the District of Columbia in the event of a natural disaster or civil emergency.

Marine Aircraft Group 49, Det. A “Hell’s Angels”
In the best tradition of the Marine Corps, a “few good men and women” support two combat-ready reserve units at Andrews AFB. Marine Fighter Attack Squadron (VMFA) 321, a Marine Corps Reserve squadron, flies the sophisticated F/A-18 Hornet. Marine Aviation Logistics Squadron 49, Detachment A, provides maintenance and supply functions necessary to maintain a force in readiness.[i] [Emphasis added]

As we can see from the above information that was derived from their own Andrews AFB website, there was more than one combat unit capable of a rapid response. The 113th Wing of the ANG and the Marine Fighter Attack Squadron (VMFA) 321, flying the F-16 and the FA-18 respectively, were only 13 miles away — seconds away for supersonic jet fighters! The 113th Wings mission statement is — ”They stand ready to respond to the needs of the District of Columbia — and the nation — should the need arise.”
However when military was confronted and they realized the contradiction, they responded as such:

The Andrews-based 121st Fighter Sqdn. was not standing alert on Sept. 11, because the District of Columbia Air National Guard (DCANG) unit was not assigned to the North American Aerospace Defense Command air defense force. NORAD had already scrambled three F-16s from their alert base at Langley AFB, Va. to over the Atlantic Ocean, to the east [opposite direction].[ii]
The military sure uses a lot of excuses — is there a pattern here?

F-16s from Andrews AFB were flown over 200 miles away from the Pentagon, for a training mission. Did some one order that mission to purposely leave the D.C. area unguarded?
Three F-16s were sent to fly an air-to-ground training mission to drop some bombs and hit a refueling tanker, on a range in North Carolina.111 These F-16s were rearmed for bombing practice and sent all the way to North Carolina, 207 mi. further South of D.C. But even after they were sent on the diversionary mission, they still were only 12 min. from Washington when the Pentagon was struck!
Coincidently, another unit in close proximity to the WTC, the Atlantic City Air Station, (minutes from WTC) was also sent at the same time to conduct “bombing practice” with it’s F-16s!
To believe the official version of events, you are asked to “trust us” and expected to blindly and patriotically follow a fable.
And this leads to another problem with the government’s story — people are told over and over, that they have to believe just one more time, that there was just another coincidence of poor decision-making, bad communication, or ineptness. This is the recurring excuse that plays over and over like a bad record. While another broken record plays in the foreground on all the mainstream medias, it shrills, “War on Terror” … “War on Terror” …”Bin Laden did it” … “Bin Laden” … This “broken record” is to remind us that, “Patriotism = Silence” — just in case you thought of questioning the official parody.

8:46 a.m. – Fighters are training over North Carolina — they are not recalled to Washington until much later.
However, it is only when they are halfway back to Andrews that lead pilot Major Billy Hutchison is able to talk to the “acting Supervisor of Flying” at Andrews, Lt. Col. Phil Thompson, who tells him to return to the base “buster” (as fast as his aircraft will fly). After landing back at Andrews, Hutchison is told to take off immediately, and does so at 10:33 a.m.(that’s almost 2 hours!!!)111 At least one of these F-16s could have returned from North Carolina to Washington within ten minutes and have been patrolling the skies well before 9:00 a.m.! Why weren’t they? F-16s can fly at a maximum speed of 1,500 mph. (That’s 200 miles in about 9 minutes!)

9:03 a.m. – The Secret Service calls and asks whether Andrews can scramble fighters.
According to the weapons officer, Major Dan Caine, who takes this call, a Secret Service agent then tells him “to stand by and that somebody else [will] call.”111

9:37 a.m. – Andrew’s Pilots aware of crisis but still on ground!
The unit’s maintenance section was notified to get several F-16s armed and ready to fly. Anticipating such an order, Col. Don C. Mozley, the 113th Logistics Group commander, had already ordered his weapons officer to “break out the AIM-9s and start building them up… The missiles had to be transported from a bunker on the other side of the base, which would take a while.”111 This last statement is strange. Senior Master Sergeant David Bowman, 113th Wing munitions supervisor, says, “We were doing it as fast as we could, because for all we knew the terrorists were getting ready to hit us. ... It normally takes three hours to get weapons from the storage sheds and load them onto the fighters." Why would readiness aircraft have missiles stored on the other side of the base? How could they scramble to make interceptions, like they have done countless times before 9/11? No, they are not that dumb, it’s just another example of using deliberate ploys to explain away why they purposefully did everything in their power to not engage any of the targets that day. They believed the public would buy their unacceptable lies and excuses.111
However, the loading of missiles onto the fighters becomes very time consuming, and when these fighters finally take off nearly an hour later, they will launch without the missiles installed! 111 [Wow, that’s amazing!]
“I have no idea what’s going on, but we’re flying.”
After the Pentagon is hit, fighters at nearby Andrews Air Force Base are still preparing to launch. At some unknown point, flight squad commander Lieutenant Colonel Marc Sasseville assembles three F-16 pilots and gives them a curt briefing. He recalls saying, “I have no idea what’s going on, but we’re flying. Here’s our frequency. We’ll split up the area as we have to. Just defend as required. We’ll talk about the rest in the air.” All four of them dress up and get ready.111
How is it possible they “have no idea what’s going on”? They obviously had known about the WTC attacks earlier that morning, then the Pentagon attack at 9:37 a.m., then the Shanksville shoot down at 10:03 a.m.; so by the time that they were taking off at 10:42 a.m., it was 2 hours from the time of the first attack. Impressions that could be derived from commander Sasseville’s statements is that, he was in the Twilight Zone for two-hours.
After the aerial response was derailed, and the Pentagon attacked, there now is a flood of calls for action.
Meanwhile, a “flood” of calls from the Secret Service and local FAA flight control centers pour into Andrews, as the fighter response is still grounded. A Secret Service agent again contacts Andrews Air Force base and commands, “Get in the air now!” [Now that everything is over!] According to fighter pilot Lieutenant Colonel Marc Sasseville, almost simultaneously he gets a call from someone else in the White House declaring the Washington area “a free-fire zone”. “That meant we were given authority to use force, if the situation required it, in defense of the nation’s capital, its property, and people.” One officer at Andrews recalls, “After the Pentagon was hit, we were told there were more [airliners] coming. Not might be — they were coming.”111 However, this appeared not to be the case, since everything that was going to happen that day — already did happen. [The neocon’s new Pearl Harbor show was over.]

10:42 a.m. – Marc Sasseville and Heather Penney, take off from Andrews.
Before taking off, their planes undergo a two-hour process to load 20mm training rounds! (Essentially over-sized bullets) These three pilots will therefore not be patrolling the skies above Washington until after about 10:45 a.m.111 Does anyone see a pattern here yet!

General David Wherley, flight commander of the Air National Guard at Andrews, made several phone calls that morning, seeking airborne authorization for his fighters.
Wherley had contacted the Secret Service after hearing reports that it wanted fighters airborne. One Secret Service agent, using two telephones at once, relays instructions to Wherley from another Secret Service agent in the White House, who had been given instructions from Vice President Cheney. Wherley’s fighters are to protect the White House and shoot down any planes that threaten Washington D.C. Wherley gives Lieutenant Colonel Marc Sasseville, lead pilot, the authority to decide whether to execute a shoot down. President Bush and Vice President Cheney later claim they were not aware that any fighters had scrambled from Andrews at the request of the Secret Service.97

Several procedures were put into motion to initiate and prolong the stand down. Excuses were fabricated in a myriad of deception.
1) Rumsfeld removed authority from his commanders to respond to airborne terrorist attacks with his DoD directive issued three months earlier. Thus, base Flight Commanders were in actuality, serving more as expensive administrative assistants.
2) A high-ranking official ordered the diversionary bombing practice in North Carolina.
3) Then, the pilots were purposefully delayed in returning to Andrews AFB.
4) Somebody purposefully delayed the launching of the F-16s, by ordering the rearmament of 20mm rounds. This was completely unnecessary! They would never have used these guns.
5) And somebody purposefully delayed the launching of the F-16s with a drag-your-feet missile rearmament. These missiles can be attached in minutes.
After all the above tactics were utilized, and the damage to the country sustained, there would be a battle cry for the base to respond. This would give the perpetrators an alibi––that they did indeed try to thwart the attack.

General Timeline of Andrews Response
8:45 am. – 1st WTC crash.
9:03 am. – 2nd WTC crash.
9:37 am. – Pentagon attack (official time).
10:42 a.m. – Sasseville and the pilot code-named Lucky will take off.
After 10:37 a.m. – Hutchison et al. will take off.
Over 1½ hours for F-16s, of a readiness squadron, to respond to a national emergency

This season's fashion in conspiracy theories—for those out of the loop of enlightenment—concerns health. The Web sites, marginal cable shows and radio phone-ins are full of tales about how Big Pharma and Bad Government are deliberately spreading diseases or manufacturing scares in order to sell us expensive drugs, gull us into dangerous vaccinations or just simply to create an atmosphere of panic which will allow "them" to take over.

Swine flu? The disease was created in a lab by a shadowy company, which had associations with ultra-baddies Donald Rumsfeld, Dick Cheney and Israel, and released to sell the company's top product. HIV? According to a documentary called "House of Numbers," now doing the rounds of the highbrow film festivals, the link between HIV and AIDS is a fiction developed by pharmaceutical companies and AIDS activists to boost the profits of the former and the jobs of the latter. Cervical cancer vaccination? As one of my wife's acquaintances—a highly educated and intelligent woman—put it in an anguished round-robin email a few weeks ago, "girls have died in the U.S." from the vaccination, and the pharmaceutical companies know, but don't care as long as they make their profits.

We live in age of conspiracies, or rather, we are more aware of conspiracy theories than we used to be. Theories involving the hidden hand reproduce on the Internet and instantly jump borders. Giving the stories plausible heft are the exotic sites and TV stations now beaming everywhere, their studios, anchors and Web sites looking as professional and reliable as those of CNN, ABC News or the BBC. Channels such as Russia Today, Iran's Press TV and Al Jazeera pass on theories involving the supposed "real stories" behind world affairs to millions. Globalization not only assists with the spread of conspiracy theories, but because it causes such rapid change—in migration, jobs, security threats and the way we live—it leaves people desperate for clear, comforting answers. It is better to think that someone is in charge of everything than that the world is more often prey to accidents, madness and coincidence. That's why movies are full of dastardly but brilliant plotters, and hardly anything happens by chance.

This isn't new, of course. The Jewish Big Plan for world dominion was, in many ways, the first of the modern conspiracy theories. The "Protocols of the Elders of Zion" were widely believed and widely disseminated, particularly among the educated and professional classes in continental Europe after World War I. Henry Ford was one of their chief distributors in the U.S. The "Protocols" may also be one of the most effective of conspiracy theories, seeing use in pre-war German classrooms, providing a basis for the extermination of the European Jews and, more recently being screened on Iranian television for the instruction of youth.

These cyber-driven days, each new U.S. president has attracted theories of his own, assiduously spread mostly by partisans of the other side. So the saturnine Bill Clinton murdered Vince Foster and a whole lot of men in Arkansas (we won't discuss what he did with the women of Arkansas), the infernal George W. Bush brought down the twin towers, and the foreign Barack Obama isn't an American at all, and has plotted to cover it up. Interestingly out-of-power Democrats are far more likely to believe the theories about in-power Republicans, and powerless Republicans far more likely to believe them about powerful Democrats. One aspect of conspiracy theories is that they are history for losers.

It doesn't always feel like that. Many of us, of course, are not believers but simply find ourselves confronted at a dinner party by the man who just knows the "real story," and has arrived armed with his killer facts and certainty. You on the other hand, have nothing but your instinct for nonsense. So, for everyone who has been, or will be, in that woeful position, I offer this short guide to how conspiracy theories work, the better to rebut them.

Even where conspiracy theories are not momentous, and may sometimes be physically (if not intellectually) harmless—such as with the gorgeous slew of nonsenses that prefaced "The Da Vinci Code," involving Templars, secret priories, hidden treasures and the bloodline of Christ—they share certain features that make them work.

These include an appeal to precedent, self-heroization, contempt for the benighted masses, a claim to be only asking "disturbing questions," invariably exaggerating the status and expertise of supporters, the use of apparently scholarly ways of laying out arguments (or "death by footnote"), the appropriation of imagined Secret Service jargon, circularity in logic, hydra-headedness in growing new arguments as soon as old ones are chopped off, and, finally, the exciting suggestion of persecution. These characteristics help them to convince intelligent people of deeply unintelligent things.

I've only rarely come across a modern conspiracy theory that doesn't seek to establish supposed historical precedents for whatever the conspiracy is—arguing that since it has happened before, there is nothing unnatural about it happening again. Sometimes the history can be voluminous; I was present at one large 9/11 Truth meeting in London in 2005, which began with the revelation that the Gunpowder Plot of 1605 was an inside job (James I's chief minister Robert Cecil, if you want to know) and progressed through the Reichstag fire, the Gulf of Tonkin and the '60s assassinations, before making the devilish administration's attack on its own cities seem like an almost inevitable progression.

The second characteristic is the implication that the theorist and his co-believers are part of a brave insurgency against a corrupt elite or a stifling orthodoxy. It is of course, an ironic pleasure to witness a West Coast academic tell an audience of Danish professionals at the Copenhagen Central Library with regard to 9/11, that "members of the elite of our society may not think that the truth should be revealed." By contrast, he seemed to be suggesting, belief in the conspiracy makes you part of a genuinely heroic anti-elite elite group who can see past an official version propagated for the benefit of the lazy or inert mass of people by the powers that be. Now, you have to admit, to be such a rebel while risking so little is cool.

Cool too is the special quality of thought required to appreciate the existence of the conspiracy. If the conspiracists have cracked the code, it is not least because of their possession of an unusual and perceptive way of looking at things. Those who cannot or will not see the now-revealed truth are variously described as robots or, latterly, as sheep—citizens who shuffle half-awake through their conventional lives. Erich Von Daniken, propagator of the theory that aliens built the pyramids, commended his own courage for writing his books in the teeth of the "reactionary flood" and his readers for their courage in reading them. The authors of "The Holy Blood and the Holy Grail," the "non-fiction"book that lay behind "The Da Vinci Code," argued that they had developed a new form of scholarship which allowed them to see connections invisible to stuffy old academics.

And then there is the violent innocence of much conspiracism, in which the theorist is "only asking questions" about the official version of the truth, and doesn't go so far as to have a theory himself—other than it is impossible that JFK was shot by Lee Harvey Oswald alone, that the moon landing happened in the way the world imagined, that Al Qaeda terrorists hijacked four planes. "I'm not saying he wasn't born in Hawaii" argue sophisticated birthers of Obama, "all I'm saying is why won't he produce his birth certificate?"

Conspiracists draw upon the endorsement of "experts" to validate their theories, and yet a constant feature of modern conspiracy theories is the exaggeration of the status of their experts. The former U.K. junior environment minister Michael Meacher, a leading "disturbing question" figure on the edges of the 9/11 Truth movement, was never a member of the British cabinet. But in a radio interview on the syndicated "The Alex Jones Show" was referred to as the "former number three in the Blair government." David Ray Griffin, perhaps the most respected of all the 9/11 conspiracists, lays remarkable and repeated confidence in his judgement that his tatterdemalion handful of scientist-scholars somehow see a truth that armies of engineers, demolition experts, and aerodynamic specialists don't or won't. In one recent British conspiracy movement a much cited "lecturer and researcher" turned out to be an inquirer into alchemy, astrology and crop circles.

Today no conspiracist publication or Web site wants for the outward flourishes of scholarship. The footnotes are compendious, the sources are seemingly authoritative. It is only when you get in amongst them that you discover what the footnotes actually refer to. Many are examples of that new art form, the cross-citation, in which, say, the French conspiracy author Thierry Meyssan cites American conspiracy author Webster Tarpley; Tarpley cites David Ray Griffin; and David Ray Griffin cites Thierry Meyssan. Others will be references to contemporaneous news reports which, because they were necessarily provisional, now supposedly establish "anomalies" between them and the "official" (i.e. later) version of what happened. It is another irony, this ascription of a final, almost biblical authority to immediate and necessarily provisional mainstream news reports of an incident—providing, of course that they can be used to demonstrate the inconsistencies that the conspiracists are seeking. Reporters usually do the best they can in frightening and confused circumstances, but early explanations of major disasters will contain much that turns out to be mistaken. But mistakes do not exist in the world of conspiracy.

In his first book, "The New Pearl Harbor: Disturbing Questions About the Bush Administration and 9/11," theologian Mr. Griffin questions the survival of evidence from the planes that crashed into the World Trade Center, using an article in the Guardian as support: "As a story in the Guardian said, 'the idea that [this] passport had escaped from that inferno unsinged would [test] the credulity of the staunchest supporter of the FBI's crackdown on terrorism.'" Readers would not know that this was not a report but merely the passing opinion of a columnist called Anne Karpf, who had no more knowledge about what might or might not have emerged from the Twin Towers than had any other columnist based in north London.

A final polish is given to the conspiracists' illusion of authority by the use of what is imagined to be Secret Service or technical jargon, as though the authors had been in recent communication with spies, generals or scientists. Web sites and books are adorned with interesting words and phrases include "psyops" (short for psychological operations), "false flag," and, more recently, "wet disposal," meaning assassination. Such use helps to establish an interior jargon for the conspiracy community.

No inconvenient fact or refutation discombobulates the believer—conspiracists are always winners. Their arguments have a determined flexibility whereby reverses can be accommodated within the theory itself, or simply discarded. So, embarrassing and obvious problems in the theory may be ascribed to deliberate disinformation originating with the imagined plotters designed to throw activists off the scent. One believer in the conspiracy to assassinate the Princess of Wales in 1997 claimed that it was the very proliferation of absurd theories concerning Diana that first convinced her that this was the MI6 squad at work seeking to cover up its real role in the killing.

The young makers of the viral Internet film on 9/11, "Loose Change," originally made much of the supposed impossibility of the phone calls made by passengers and crew from the hijacked planes to relatives and colleagues. During the film its writer and narrator, Dylan Avery, ridiculed the very idea. "The cell phones were fake," he scoffed, "No question about it." A few weeks ago I found myself on a San Francisco talk show with Mr. Avery, and pointed out the lunacy inherent in this claim. "You're just nitpicking!" he told me, adding that the really important evidence now concerned traces of a magical explosive "super-thermite" discovered from samples taken at Ground Zero and analyzed by an un-peer-reviewed Danish conspiracist chemist.

Mr. Avery could have opted for the ingenuity of the film's producer, Korey Rowe, who, when challenged in a 2006 Smith magazine interview about the glaring factual mistakes in the film, replied, "We know there are errors in the documentary, and we've actually left them in there so that people discredit us and do the research for themselves."

Finally, there is hardly a conspiracy theory, but its promoters are under some kind of threat from shadowy powers. Their phones are bugged, their offices are burgled but not robbed, they are followed, their hard drives fragment and their emails mysteriously disappear. But oddly, given their unique insights into the malefactions of powerful rulers, bent scientists and ruthless corporations, and their heroic role in bringing these into the public domain, they are never seriously harmed. A fact which, readers must surely agree that, though welcome, is very suspicious.

This an interview with a woman using an alias who claims to have been an enlisted soldier at Ft. Meade and who was privy as an assigned “coffee getter” to the quickly assembled emergency meeting where a decision was made to shoot down Flight 93 which is the flight that was allegedly flown into the ground during a struggle between hijackers and passengers. That crash has been dramatized in various versions in the movies and has always been an emotional centerpiece of the Official 911 Legend.
Assuming this woman’s story is genuine, it depicts how our air defenses are supposed to work and that with regard to the Pentagon crash Cheney had, in effect, created a bubble around the Pentagon/White House airspace in which his recently minted status as shootdown decision maker overruled normal military protocol thus clearing the way for the Pentagon impact which was part and parcel of the 911 terror imagery that then eventually paved the way for the invasions of Iraq and Afghanistan.
The interview also highlights the “witness dilemma.” Witnesses and whistleblowers are understandably intimidated by the potential repercussions of coming forward with their stories. A new 911 inquiry with witness protection and amnesty for whistleblowers would probably bring hundreds of people like this woman “in out of the cold”

All three of the building strikes on 911 were preceded by missile strikes. This is most obvious in the exit hole at the Pentagon. Why would missiles be riding onboard the strike planes and why would they be fired at all three buildings just preceding impact? The answer is obvious if one works backwards from the Pentagon strike where the visual evidence was still intact days after the event. In the case of the Pentagon, a missile was required not just to penetrate the hardened Pentagon shell which had been specially and newly reinforced just months prior to the attack but also to ensure that the craft – whatever it was- did not get hung up or splattered too conspicuously “outside” the building where nosy photographers would be quickly assembled and where forensics teams might find large pieces of incontrovertibly incriminating evidence. There had to be assurances that the craft ended up mostly inside the building where it would meet the maximum shredding against interior structure and where airplane parts would be less conspicuous and could be dealt with clandestinely if necessary. This was not a failsafe plan but then nothing about an op so stupid and ambitious is going to run smoothly. The exit hole in the Pentagon was immediately a problem which was dealt with awkwardly by government personnel in the day or so after 911. The initial lies made up about the hole in the Pentagon are telling. One of the real keys to the 911 stage piece is the “cover your ass” maneuverings one sees immediately after the op when all the untidy and unforeseen developments had to be dealt with. This is typical of big, complicated operations.
Here we see a government employer prevaricating about the exit hole in the Pentagon. Since the exit hole is way too neat to have been made by the relatively fragile nose cone of a 757, the government employee scrambles to explain that it was a “punch out” hole made by rescuers:

Indeed, it just must have been where part of the aircraft came out, yet there was no evidence of any part of an aircraft that could have made the hole! Never mind that CatHerder has just told us about all the evidence of the aircraft that is just laying all around! Later in the same briefing when referring to the same hole Mitchell must have realised his mistake and stated:
“This pile here is all Pentagon metal. None of that is aircraft whatsoever. As you can see, they’ve punched a hole in here. This was punched by the rescue workers to clean it out”.
So which was it? Was the hole punched out by some part of the aircraft or by rescue workers? Was the pile of stuff aircraft debris, as CatHerder claims, or was it "all Pentagon metal" as Terry Mitchell says? Look again at the picture of the hole. We don’t need the contradictory statements of Mr. Mitchell to conclude that, due to the fact that the debris is on the outside of the building, the hole was punched out from the inside, yet how could it have been “punched out” by rescue workers when there are scorch marks at the top of the hole on the outside? Did the rescue workers punch out this hole when the fire was still raging inside? Hardly likely. Limiting air flow is part of fighting a fire. You don’t make holes to let in more air while you are trying to extinguish a fire.
Dare we suggest that the OASD chief was lying that day? That he changed his story because the “official” version of events did not include the idea that part of the aircraft made that hole, because it is inconceivable that any part of a 757 could have done so? If so, then a government official is on record as having lied about the events at the Pentagon, yet such does not dissuade CatHerder from trying to convince the public that the official government story about the strike on the Pentagon is correct.

In subsequent years there would be developed all sorts of unlikely theories to explain the hole, but it is the initial panicked reaction of people to the hole that tells the real story. That is true of the entire 911 op. The most compelling evidence of "inside job" is the effort by government agents to conceal, misdirect, and evade. It is "exhibit A."

With the World Trade Center strikes it is the same modus operandi with same motive – pre-punch a hole into the building to ensure that as much of the airplane as possible winds up inside the building and not laying around outside the building where it might be subject to incriminating forensic examination.

All three missiles were most probably standard depleted uranium tipped. Depleted uranium warheads had superior penetrating power: There is evidence at the Pentagon indicating the trace signature of a depleted uranium warhead.

“This text raises another question. Boeing admitted that the El Al B 747 that crashed near Amsterdam in Holland contained a DU counterweight. Boeing never gave the list of the plane models and series which contain a DU counterweight. The question could be asked of whether the B 757 of flight 77 contained a DU counterweight or not. If yes, the hypothesis of a warhead loaded inside this crashed plane could be replaced by a "natural" explanation of all the damage inside the building being due to this counterweight. Shortly after having put on line this question, I got an email with :

Thus, according to the company's spokesman, the only planes with a DU counterweight would be the B 747s...”

Had the debris pile of the World Trade Center not been so enormous and so dilutive there would probably be radiation evidence there too. Actually, there is but with a volume of debris that large there are too many other variables impinging on sampling for the radiation to show up as being definitively from a warhead. I used to think that the Pentagon strike was the most problematic of evidence because of the highly contradicting witness statements, but with the new revelations brought out in the “Citizens” video below all the visual evidence now begins to make moré sense and looks like the biggest smoking gun of 911.

After awhile any serious researcher into the 911 op reaches a point at which the “anomalies,” the “extenuating circumstances,” the “just one of those things” things just pile up in one big glorious heap, and it hits you - the most obvious evidence of inside job is just staring you in the face really. The improbability of it all is right there in front of you – the three anomalous building collapses in one day, the complete breakdown of our national defense system, the 911 commission’s whitewashing of the whole affair. You just have to ask yourself how many of these broomsticks up the wazoo are we expected to take and keep replying like a good soldier, “Thank your sir! May I have another sir!”

“Of course, we have not even touched on that most bizarre aspect of the Pentagon strike - the alleged final approach of Flight 77. Think about this:

The hijackers are a few thousand feet up in the air, they spot the distinctive shape of the Pentagon and decide, "that's our target". What do they do next?

These nutty hijackers, consumed with rage and anger at America, its government, its military and its citizens, and determined to inflict as much carnage as possible, had somehow chosen the strongest part of the Pentagon which at the same time had the lowest concentration of people!
Now how's that for bad luck!

To carry out their bizarre plan, which appears designed to minimise death and destruction at the Pentagon rather than maximise it, and given that they realise that they are very poor pilots, failing to possess the skills to master the controls of a single-engined cessna, our intrepid "terrorists" decide that they will execute a difficult fast descent from 7,000 feet combined with a 270 degree turn.

This done, they are now at a few hundred feet and in "line of sight" of the Pentagon up ahead of them. The only problem is that they are now confronted with a veritable obstacle course of cars, roads, bridges, buildings, trees etc between them and their target. Not to worry - they have Allah on their side after all. By some miracle they manage to navigate the massive hulk of the 757 through down town Washington while flying at 500 mph and just a few dozen feet off the ground, getting lower all the time. They make just a little booboo and clip a couple of light poles on the way in, but despite this and the fact that their massive manual missile is just feet of the ground, they politely avoid messing up the Pentagon lawn and finally slam into their target at ground floor level.
Now that is one fantastical magical mystery of a story, worthy of inclusion in any children's fairy tale.”

This is far more demoralizing than any actual terrorist attack. It's the real hidden message of 911, and it has succeeded in creating a profound sense of defeat and apathy among thinking people. When Larry Silverstein uttered his infamous "Pull It" which is so blatantly linked to the subsequent collapse of WTC 7 the real message of that public admission of collusion was that the people behind this can do anything they damn well please and there is nothing "we" can do about it. When Rumsfeld gave his little talk at the Pentagon on the morning of 911 about the imminence of a terror attack he was signaling in no uncertain terms to anyone with half a brain that he was "in charge" now of events manipulative of the country's destiny and the control is so complete he doesn't even have to be coy about it. When Cheney used to stalk the halls of senate barking his infamous "fuck you's" to anyone who dared to stand in his way his message was the same, and it was loud and clear. "We are running the show. We are unholy bastards who will not be stopped. Get over it."
The final demoralization has been the Obama ruse and the complete sellout to the power brokers and the war machine. It gives a new and perverse meaning to “continuity of government.” In terms of breaking the will of the people this has been just as effective as the 911 hoax. It could even be called the "new 911." It is just as disastrous and just as terrifying.

Multiple witness accounts of a military C-130 aircraft near the scene of the Pentagon attack presented a big problem for the “Official Legend” of the 911 Pentagon strike. Caught in the most obvious lie was NORAD which had to change its story of incompetence several times in order to explain why normal air defenses were AWOL on 911. The C-130 story has turned out to be one of the biggest Achilles Heels of the 911 stage piece. It points in several unexpected directions.
This little riff starts with NORAD’s fraudulent “blindness” to the incoming alleged Flight 77 aimed at the Pentagon, using that blindness as an excuse not to scramble interceptor fighter jets while in fact it was being tracked by Cheney's bunker command post as well as the FAA,, and ends with the shredding of FAA air traffic controller statements about the events of 911. Weaving in and out of this is the mysterious C-130 which was probably intimately involved in guiding whatever hit the Pentagon.

Why did a Civilian Air Traffic Controller do a Better Job of Defending the Skies on 9/11 than NORAD?

Was the Pentagon or NORAD "unaware" of the plane (alleged Flight 77) flying towards the Pentagon on 9/11? There is no compelling evidence to support such an assertion. In fact, there is very strong evidence that the plane was being observed as it flew towards the Pentagon. In testimony to the 9/11 commission, it was reported that:

“During the time that the airplane [alleged flight 77] was coming [towards] the Pentagon, there was a young man who would come in and say to the Vice President...the plane is 50 miles out...the plane is 30 miles out....and when it got down to the plane is 10 miles out, the young man also said to the vice president ‘do the orders still stand?’ And the Vice President [Dick Cheney] turned and whipped his neck around and said ‘Of course the orders still stand, have you heard anything to the contrary!??’”

Dick Cheney also admitted on a live TV interview that, "The Secret Service has an arrangement with the F.A.A. They had open lines after the World Trade Center was… [struck]”

This was also confirmed by an FAA spokesperson who also revealed to the 9/11 Commission (but completely omitted from the final report):
“Within minutes after the first aircraft hit the World Trade Center, the FAA immediately established several phone bridges that included FAA field facilities, the FAA Command Center, FAA headquarters, DOD [meaning the NMCC in the Department of Defense], the Secret Service… The US Air Force liaison to the FAA immediately joined the FAA headquarters phone bridge and established contact with NORAD… The FAA shared real-time information on the phone bridges about the unfolding events, including information about loss of communication with aircraft, loss of transponder signals, unauthorized changes in course, and other actions being taken by all the flights of interest.”
Based on these and other facts, all on the record and irrefutable, there was clear knowledge and awareness of the plane incoming to the Pentagon. In fact, there is additional evidence strongly suggesting knowledge of this incoming plane. During the time of the plane incoming to the Pentagon, a C-130 Pilot was ordered to intercept the plane incoming to the Pentagon:
The C130 encountered flight 77 west of the Pentagon and literally followed it as it crashed into the pentagon. This is the first we learned of this aircraft (Norad did not mention it at the hearing). It raises a number of questions..."
One of these important questions raised is overlooked by many, including by members of the 9/11 truth movement. How was a C-130 pilot able to intercept the plane incoming to the Pentagon while NORAD was not? Significantly, we know from established reports that it was not NORAD who requested the C-130 to intercept the plane incoming to the Pentagon. In fact, it was a civilian air traffic controller from Reagan National Airport who asked the C-130 to intercept the incoming plane:
“When air traffic control asked me if we had him [Flight 77] in sight, I told him that was an understatement—by then, he had pretty much filled our windscreen. Then he made a pretty aggressive turn so he was moving right in front of us, a mile and a half, two miles away. I said we had him in sight, then the controller asked me what kind of plane it was. That caught us up, because normally they have all that information. The controller didn’t seem to know anything.”
The controller "seemed to know" that there was a plane coming into the Pentagon. That's not an insignificant detail. This begs an obvious question overlooked by many: How could a civilian air traffic controller do a better job of intercepting aircraft on 9/11 than NORAD? Oddly enough (or perhaps not), the C-130 pilot was also 17 miles away from flight 93 when it crashed.

Also relevant to this mystery is that key officials were in fact promoted while none received demotions following the 9/11 attacks and that NORAD gave three contradictory explanations for its actions on 9/11. There are widespread reports of the plane being observed as it flew towards the Pentagon so it cannot be reasonably claimed that NORAD was "unaware" of the plane incoming to the Pentagon. In light of these and other facts, it is even more puzzling that a civilian air traffic controller was able to do what NORAD could not on 9/11.

At 9:25, The FAA in collaboration from the White House, initiated a national ground stop, which forbids takeoffs and requires planes in the air to get down as soon as reasonable. The order...applied to virtually every single kind of machine that can takeoff — civilian, military, [and] law enforcement.178

And so the fable began:

About 9:30 a.m., O’Brien throttled the lumbering plane down a runway at Andrews Air Force Base, just southeast of the District of Columbia …[xii]

Even though his account is rather immature and laced with inconsistencies, it was a clever ploy to turn an embarrassing and incriminating incident into something rather contrary. Since the government seemed to be coming up short of good evidence in substantiating it’s story, it appears that they elected to craft this “I saw the plane” tale. The tale would, like others before him (Donald “Tim” Timmerman — who fell on his face on CNN), attempt to unequivocally state that it was an American Airlines 757 — Flight 77.
This of course was just spin, while the real questions were being circumvented. For one, why was the C-130 following and guiding a jet toward the Pentagon? Why was it circling above the Pentagon just prior to the attack? And why was this exact plane spotted, and even confirmed by the military, over Shanksville during Flight 93’s crash? And most importantly, how was the government promptly able to launch a transport plane, but unable to launch any high-speed fighters?

The reality was … eyewitnesses tracked his plane flying directly above a low-flying airliner and guiding it to the Pentagon. It was seen circling above the Pentagon before the airliner allegedly crashed into the Pentagon. Also at Shanksville, the C-130 was there circling before the shoot down occurred. So unless everyone else is a liar… And what he was really doing there can only be left up to the imagination…

Destruction of Air Traffic Controllers’ Post-911 Audio Tapes
Information provided to the commission investigating the U.S. government's response to terrorist threats prior to September 11, 2001, names an FAA quality manager in the destruction of an audiotape made in the aftermath of the 9/11 hijackings. Each of at least six air traffic controllers and some ten other employees who were on the job at the New York Air Route Traffic Control Center (ARTCC) in Ronkonkoma, N.Y., during the World Trade Center attacks gathered several hours after to recall their version of events. But that tape, which could have helped determine how the agency responded to clues that four planes had been hijacked, was destroyed before it was ever heard. In fact, officials at the ARTCC were never even told of the tape's existence. According to the report given to the 9/11 Commission by Department of Transportation Inspector General Kenneth Mead, the audiotape was crushed in the hand of the unnamed FAA employee, then cut into small pieces and tossed into different trash cans around the ARTCC building. Despite the fact that the quality assurance officer had been told to retain all records pertaining to 9/11, he told inspector general investigators he destroyed the tape because he felt making it was contrary to FAA policy, which calls for written statements. He is also quoted to have said the controllers "were not in the correct frame of mind to have properly consented to the taping" because of the stress of the day, and told investigators that faced with a similar situation, he would repeat his actions.
Inspector General Mead told the 9/11 commission the employee showed "poor judgment," and in calling for administrative action, said the employee's attitude about the destruction was "especially troubling." The FAA confirms disciplinary action has been taken against the employee, but will not say what that action was, or identify the employee. Senator John McCain (R-Ariz.) says the matter could be investigated further.

Application of Geneva Conventions to Prisoners of War

The application of the Geneva Conventions of 12 August 1949 to captives in the Vietnam War was complicated by the perplexing legal nature of that conflict. In the classic sense, the conventions presume a declared state of war between two or more sovereign states, each fielding a regular army fighting on a readily identifiable battlefront. Virtually none of these classic conditions existed in the Vietnam conflict.

The United States recognized the sovereignty of South Vietnam, as did some eighty-seven other nations. Indeed, South Vietnam is a member of several special committees of the United Nations, and would have been a member of the United Nations itself had it not been for a Soviet veto in 1957.

The United States has not accorded full diplomatic recognition to North Vietnam, as have some twenty-seven other states. However, the United States has acknowledged North Vietnam's agreement to the Geneva Conventions of 1949, and it has treated North Vietnam as a separate state in the context of Article 12 of the Geneva Prisoner of War Conventions.

Throughout the course of the war the government of North Vietnam was most reluctant to admit to any involvement in South Vietnam, constantly maintaining all of Vietnam to be one country and the Saigon government a puppet regime, beleaguered by indigenous patriots who wished to restore the country to the people. The Republic of Vietnam, while asserting its separation from North Vietnam and its existence as a sovereign state, steadfastly refused to accord to the Viet Cong any degree of legitimacy, either as a separate political entity or as an agent of Hanoi.

Neither the United States nor North Vietnam issued a declaration of war. South Vietnam declared a state of emergency in 1964 and a state of war in 1965, actions taken primarily to increase its internal powers.

The types of combat forces in the war ranged the full spectrum from the regular divisions of the United States, South Vietnam, and North Vietnam to the Regional Forces and Popular Forces of the government of South Vietnam, the Main Force and Local Force battalions of the Viet Cong, the Civilian Irregular Defense Group of South Vietnam, and the secret self-defense groups of the Viet Cong. The battlefield was nowhere and everywhere, with no identifiable front lines, and no safe rear areas. Fighting occurred over the length and breadth of South Vietnam, on the seas, into Laos and Cambodia, and in the air over North Vietnam. It involved combatants and civilians from a dozen different nations. Politically, militarily, and in terms of international law, the Vietnam conflict posed problems of deep complexity. The inherent difficulty of attempting to apply traditional principles of international law to such a legally confusing conflict is well illustrated by the issue of prisoners of war.

As combat units of the United States became heavily engaged in the war in 1965, the question arose as to the proper disposition for battlefield captives and others detained by U.S. units during military operations. In 1965 the United States determined to win over to the Vietnamese armed forces all individuals captured by U.S. forces. Such an arrangement is permissible under the Geneva Prisoner of War Conventions, which provide for the capturing power to release prisoners to a detaining power as long as both the capturing and the detaining powers fulfill certain obligations concerning the welfare of the prisoners.

While the legal basis for a transfer of prisoners was sound, carrying out the transfer was beset by serious legal and practical difficulties. The Republic of Vietnam regarded the Viet Cong as criminals who violated the security laws of South Vietnam and who consequently were subject to trial for their crimes. As indigenous offenders, the Viet Cong did not technically merit prisoner of war status, although they were entitled to humane treatment under Article 3, Geneva Prisoner of War Conventions. Under Article 12, the United States retained responsibility for treatment of its captives in accordance with the Geneva Conventions even after transfer of the captives to the South Vietnamese. At the same time, the United States was concerned that Americans held captive in North and South Vietnam receive humane treatment and be accorded the full benefits and protection of prisoners of war. In the south, where the government of South Vietnam had tried and publicly executed some Viet Cong agents, there had been retributory executions of Americans by the Viet Cong. In the north, the Hanoi government stated that it would treat captured American flyers humanely, but it would not accord them prisoner of war status as they were "pirates" engaged in unprovoked attacks on North Vietnam. Hanoi repeatedly threatened to try United States pilots in accordance with Vietnamese laws, but never carried out this threat. U.S. policy was for the United States to do all in its power to alleviate the plight of American prisoners. It was expected that efforts by the United States to ensure humane treatment for Viet Cong and North Vietnamese Army captives would bring reciprocal benefits for American captives.

Early in the war there had been some question in the United States command as to whether the struggle against the Viet Cong constituted an armed international conflict as contemplated in Article 2, Geneva Prisoner of War Conventions, or a conflict not of international nature, to which Article 3 would be applicable. With the infusion of large numbers of United States and North Vietnamese combat units and the coming of the Korean, Australian, Thai, and New Zealand contingents of the Free World Military Assistance Forces, any practical doubts as to the international nature of the conflict were resolved. Although North Vietnam made a strong argument that the conflict in Vietnam was essentially an internal domestic struggle, the official position of the United States, stated as early as 1965, and repeated consistently thereafter, was that the hostilities constituted an armed international conflict, that North Vietnam was a belligerent, that the Viet Cong were agents of the government of North Vietnam, and that the Geneva Conventions applied in full. Having tripped across the truth about 9/11, central banks, etc. in 2006, I set out to get a grasp on the elite class in order to understand their collective mindset.

For three summers, I caddied at one of the most exclusive private golf clubs in the Northeast and had the opportunity to spend four hours at a time with some of the most recognizable stars of the business world and their families. I was not out there asking direct questions like a journalist, just going where the conversations went. Here are some of the impressions these experiences left me with.

-Not many of them know. We have to realize that the internet is relatively brand new, and that most successful people with children and grandchildren and money to spend freely haven't looked into the possibility of hidden satanists at the top of the pyramid. Many internet writers associate firms such as Goldman Sachs and Lehman Brothers with evil itself, but in reality, even with respect to career upper level employees, most of them have no idea. It is highly compartmentalized.

- CEO's are PR reps, and that's all they are unless tapped to serve further in the public eye. I have spent many days with a former CEO of a major financial institution that failed, a man who took significant heat in the media for it, and I can tell you he had no control over it. He knows, but he also knows there's nothing he can do about it. He was a fall guy, and he worked his entire life to get into a position to be a fall guy, and get that golden parachute. The entire system depresses him, as it should, but he is out of it now and trying to enjoy retirement with his lovely wife and children. Who can blame him?

- A former CEO of a major television network, genuinely disillusioned by the system, was very candid with me at times expressing his discontent. After spending several consecutive days with him and his family on the golf course, we began discussing alternative media. When I asked him if four conglomerates own the entire mass media, he corrected me, saying it was only three. When I asked him what group was more influential, the U.S. Congress or the CFR, he smiled and said, "If you're asking me that question, you already know the answer." The impression he gave me was that even as CEO, especially as a CEO, your hands are tied. His entire family is composed of first-class individuals.

- One topic that is totally taboo is the Middle East. Never a peep.

- Prescription drug abuse is as common among the wives of the elite as it is on college campuses. While I saw no direct proof of this, I didn't need to. Money does not buy happiness, often it gives you enough rope to hang yourself with. Most of the super-rich have personal problems, they empathize with other people's problems, and they genuinely wish things were better for everyone. How can they help our cause?

CONCLUSION

The real 'power elite' that is enslaving mankind is minuscule in numbers and far removed from us. At this stage of the game, the system runs autonomously. It is not necessary for anyone to believe in the merits of the agenda, so long as no one can mount sufficient opposition against it. It is almost impossible for normal people to identify an agenda based on destruction, distraction and division - three ideas inherently in disagreement with our souls.

What most of us fear has already happened. It has been written in the minds of my generation. It's a tragedy, and we're all in it together. There is no one worth antagonizing. There is no one worth blaming. Our opponent is a collection of false ideologies. It can only be conquered with unwavering love and faith in the truth.

Sometimes I think that this movement, whatever it is, behaves like grown children who want to dig people out of their graves and beat the piss out of them.

From Satan to Rothschild to Kissinger, I'm thankful to have learned from all of their errors. If they hadn't gone to such great lengths in attempting to destroy God, the undeniable spiritual truth, there is no way I could see it so clearly.

Hani Honjour - The Red Baron of 911

Below is a relatively recent document in 911 research that is fairly startling if not entirely unexpected. Hani Hanjour was the alleged pilot of the plane that hit the Pentagon at 400mph 15 feet off the ground in the final approach. He was also allegedly at the controls as the plane executed the infamous high G spiralling dive that some air traffic controllers watching the radar screen surmised was the acrobatics of a fighter plane. The flying skill it took to do all this never did make sense in light of Hanjour's demonstrated flying skill, but despite the testimony of several flight schools that Hanjour was a bumbler who had trouble flying even a small Cessna the 911 commission had finally been persuaded that Hanjour may have had the requisite skill to pull it off. It turns out that a crucial endorsement of Hani Hanjour's flying skill came from a flight instructor who had been an Israeli IDF paratrooper and who was never really vetted and who has disappeared from the radar screen (excuse the pun.)
Equally fascinating is the extent to which the commission suppressed or downplayed other evidence pointing to the possibility that Hanjour couldn't have flown the plane as it was flown. The commission so frequently engaged in this behavior in all facets of their investigation that one must regard some of them to be more "persons of interest" in the 911 drama. Their behavior is just as suspicious as that of the people supposedly being investigated and itself constitutes a "smoking gun" warranting a new investigation. As with so many things 911 it is not just the evidence that compels. Equally telling is the attempt to hide or suppress evidence.
Many in the 911 "twoofer" community are of the opinion that all of the 911 planes were remotely piloted.

“…it now appears that Shalev’s testimony was crucial. By telling the commission what it was predisposed to hear, Shalev gave the official investigation an excuse to ignore the preponderance of evidence, which pointed to the unthinkable.”

"The pattern played out again on August 16-17, 2001 when Hanjour attempted to rent a plane at Freeway Airport, in Bowie, Maryland, about twenty miles from Washington. Although Hanjour presented his FAA license, according to Newsday the Freeway airport manager insisted that instructors first accompany him on a test flight to evaluate his piloting skills. During three such flights over two days in a single-engine Cessna 172, instructors Sheri Baxter and Ben Conner observed what others had before them. Hanjour had trouble controlling and landing the aircraft. Afterward, Baxter interviewed Hanjour extensively about his flight training and experience, and also reviewed his flight log, which documented 600 hours of flight time. On this basis she and Conner declined to approve a current license rating until Hanjour returned for more training. On their recommendation, Freeway’s chief instructor Marcel Bernard refused to rent Hanjour a plane.[18] Notice, this was less than a month before 9/11."

"The note gives a name, Eddie Shalev, but no other information about him. Indeed, his identity remained a mystery until January 2009, when NARA released the 9/11 files.[25] Nonetheless, David Ray Griffin had already identified the key questions in his 2008 book The New Pearl Harbor Revisited. Wrote Griffin: “How could an instructor in Gaithersburg [i.e., Shalev] have had such a radically different view of Hanjour’s abilities from that of all of the other flight instructors who worked with him? Who was this instructor? How could this report be verified?”[26]"

"So, who is Eddie Shalev? His identity remained unknown for more than seven years, but was finally revealed in one of the files released in January 2009 by the National Archives. The document, labeled a “Memorandum for the Record,” is a summary of the April 2004 interview with Eddie Shalev conducted by commission staffer Quinn John Tamm.[32] The document confirms that Shalev went on record: “Mr Shalev stated that based on his observations Hanjour was a ‘good’ pilot.” It is noteworthy that Tamm also spoke with Freeway instructors Sheri Baxter and Ben Conner, as revealed by yet another recently-released document.[33] Although I was unable to reach Tamm or Baxter for comment, I did talk with Conner, who confirmed the conversation.[34] Conner says he fully expected to testify before the commission. Perhaps not surprisingly, the call never came."

For those who may not see a distinction, Idolatry is the worship of a god, a fictional being that is the exemplar of some ideal or motivation or system of ethics. To idolize, is to elevate a everyday person into the same status. To put in a more simple form, gods make lousy mortals, and mortals make lousy gods.

This should not be confined to gods of myth, as many fictional characters in many genres perform the same task, of being the inspiration for our behaviors and codes of conduct. From Superman to Sherlock Holmes, characters from fables or tales of philosophical characters such as Candide or Dagny Taggert. However they all share the same flaw of being two dimensional. You never see them outside the pre-molded adventures in which they can uphold the ideals they champion. Sherlock Holmes never has to deal with a messy divorce and Candide doesn't have to work in a cubicle for 30 years. However like religious figures, they are a form of guidance, to help us make more abstract decisions and guide our mores and morals.

Inversely, we have always struggled with in society, the urge to elevate popular individuals to a similar status, to all but worship them sometimes literally. To those who would insist this is something literal, you will simply demonstrate your utter ignorance of history. Many roman and greek figures were literally given god-hood status by their peoples and these two cultures are the norm not the exception. The only difference now is rather than tithe to their priests, we buy their bling on e-bay.

The problem is that people while living in the real world, and dealing with the mundanity of everyday life, show the scars and cracks of those experiences and upon even cursory inspection those imperfections become painfully obvious. The only way these people can maintain the illusion of being perfect is to stay aloof from their adoring public and either capitalize on their public scandals or do their best to hide them. Either way it demonstrates how woefully inadequate to the task they are. They are too human.

9/11 Pentagon: Barbara Olson's Phone Calls Never Happened

Late in the day on 9/11, CNN put out a story that began: “Barbara Olson, a conservative commentator and attorney, alerted her husband, Solicitor General Ted Olson, that the plane she was on was being hijacked Tuesday morning, Ted Olson told CNN.” According to this story, Olson reported that his wife had “called him twice on a cell phone from American Airlines Flight 77,” saying that “all passengers and flight personnel, including the pilots, were herded to the back of the plane by armed hijackers. The only weapons she mentioned were knives and cardboard cutters.”2

Ted Olson’s report was very important. It provided the only evidence that American 77, which was said to have struck the Pentagon, had still been aloft after it had disappeared from FAA radar around 9:00 AM (there had been reports, after this disappearance, that an airliner had crashed on the Ohio-Kentucky border). Also, Barbara Olson had been a very well-known commentator on CNN. The report that she died in a plane that had been hijacked by Arab Muslims was an important factor in getting the nation’s support for the Bush administration’s “war on terror.” Ted Olson’s report was important in still another way, being the sole source of the widely accepted idea that the hijackers had box cutters.3

However, although Ted Olson’s report of phone calls from his wife has been a central pillar of the official account of 9/11, this report has been completely undermined.

Olson’s Self-Contradictions

Olson began this process of undermining by means of self-contradictions. He first told CNN, as we have seen, that his wife had “called him twice on a cell phone.” But he contradicted this claim on September 14, telling Hannity and Colmes that she had reached him by calling the Department of Justice collect. Therefore, she must have been using the “airplane phone,” he surmised, because “she somehow didn’t have access to her credit cards.”4 However, this version of Olson’s story, besides contradicting his first version, was even self-contradictory, because a credit card is needed to activate a passenger-seat phone.

Later that same day, moreover, Olson told Larry King Live that the second call from his wife suddenly went dead because “the signals from cell phones coming from airplanes don’t work that well.”5 After that return to his first version, he finally settled on the second version, saying that his wife had called collect and hence must have used “the phone in the passengers’ seats” because she did not have her purse.6

By finally settling on this story, Olson avoided a technological pitfall. Given the cell phone system employed in 2001, high-altitude cell phone calls from airliners were impossible, or at least virtually so (Olson’s statement that “the signals from cell phones coming from airplanes don’t work that well” was a considerable understatement). The technology to enable cell phone calls from high-altitude airline flights was not created until 2004.7

However, Olson’s second story, besides being self-contradictory, was contradicted by American Airlines.

American Airlines Contradicts Olson’s Second Version

A 9/11 researcher, knowing that AA Flight 77 was a Boeing 757, noticed that AA’s website indicated that its 757s do not have passenger-seat phones. After he wrote to ask if that had been the case on September 11, 2001, an AA customer service representative replied: “That is correct; we do not have phones on our Boeing 757. The passengers on flight 77 used their own personal cellular phones to make out calls during the terrorist attack.”8

In response to this revelation, defenders of the official story might reply that Ted Olson was evidently right the first time: she had used her cell phone. However, besides the fact that this scenario is rendered unlikely by the cell phone technology employed in 2001, it has also been contradicted by the FBI.

Olson’s Story Contradicted by the FBI

The most serious official contradiction of Ted Olson’s story came in 2006 at the trial of Zacarias Moussaoui, the so-called 20th hijacker. The evidence presented to this trial by the FBI included a report on phone calls from all four 9/11 flights. In its report on American Flight 77, the FBI report attributed only one call to Barbara Olson and it was an “unconnected call,” which (of course) lasted “0 seconds.”9 According to the FBI, therefore, Ted Olson did not receive a single call from his wife using either a cell phone or an onboard phone.

Back on 9/11, the FBI itself had interviewed Olson. A report of that interview indicates that Olson told the FBI agents that his wife had called him twice from Flight 77.10 And yet the FBI’s report on calls from Flight 77, presented in 2006, indicated that no such calls occurred.

This was an amazing development: The FBI is part of the Department of Justice, and yet its report undermined the well-publicized claim of the DOJ’s former solicitor general that he had received two calls from his wife on 9/11.

Olson’s Story Also Rejected by Pentagon Historians

Ted Olson’s story has also been quietly rejected by the historians who wrote Pentagon 9/11, a treatment of the Pentagon attack put out by the Department of Defense.11

According to Olson, his wife had said that “all passengers and flight personnel, including the pilots, were herded to the back of the plane by armed hijackers.”12 This is an inherently implausible scenario. We are supposed to believe that 60-some people, including the two pilots, were held at bay by three or four men (one or two of the hijackers would have been in the cockpit) with knives and boxcutters. This scenario becomes even more absurd when we realize that the alleged hijackers were all small, unathletic men (the 9/11 Commission pointed out that even “[t]he so-called muscle hijackers actually were not physically imposing, as the majority of them were between 5’5” and 5’7” in height and slender in build”13), and that the pilot, Charles “Chic” Burlingame, was a weightlifter and a boxer, who was described as “really tough” by one of his erstwhile opponents.14 Also, the idea that Burlingame would have turned over the plane to hijackers was rejected by his brother, who said: “I don't know what happened in that cockpit, but I'm sure that they would have had to incapacitate him or kill him because he would have done anything to prevent the kind of tragedy that befell that airplane.”15

The Pentagon historians, in any case, did not accept the Olson story, according to which Burlingame and his co-pilot did give up their plane and were in the back with the passengers and other crew members. They instead wrote that “the attackers either incapacitated or murdered the two pilots.”16

Conclusion

This rejection of Ted Olson’s story by American Airlines, the Pentagon, and especially the FBI is a development of utmost importance. Without the alleged calls from Barbara Olson, there is no evidence that Flight 77 returned to Washington. Also, if Ted Olson’s claim was false, then there are only two possibilities: Either he lied or he was duped by someone using voice-morphing technology to pretend to be his wife.17 In either case, the official story about the calls from Barbara Olson was based on deception. And if that part of the official account of 9/11 was based on deception, should we not suspect that other parts were as well?

The fact that Ted Olson’s report has been contradicted by other defenders of the official story about 9/11 provides grounds for demanding a new investigation of 9/11. This internal contradiction is, moreover, only one of 25 such contradictions discussed in my most recent book, 9/11 Contradictions: An Open Letter to Congress and the Press.

Same applies to cultural expressions. Not all are equal, not all deserve to be perpetuated, not all deserve to be forced upon the rest of us.

Same applies to religions. Not all are equal. Some are destructive. Some are just plain horror.

I say that only those faiths and cultural expressions ( and only those components) which serve to propel their adherents forward in modern society are deserving of a place at the altar of human society. I say that when a cultural expression or faith or idea serves to work the destruction of society and fails to propel it's adherant forward in modernsociety that such thing should be abandoned as inferior trash.

I read just a few days ago how now almost 10% of all mortgages are delinquent and if you add in the ones that are currently undergoing foreclosure that number reaches 15%. But don't worry, the recession's over!

Our country's economy is like a gunshot victim, who thinks that since the bullet passed through, the noise and the trauma has faded, that everything will be all better, it's over. Trying desperately to ignore that it's bleeding out, quietly losing it's life essence.

Do not believe what they tell you, there is NO reason to be optimistic. Optimism and hope are warranted when there is some hint of a reason for it. What we have is bad news leading only to more bad news. The reality is double digit unemployment is likely to be a unwanted guest for a long time.

Do not believe the talk, the 'stimulus' plan is only designed to stimulate the investors in your congressman's campaign, not you. They balk even at the suggestion that unemployment benefits be extended, a trivial cost compared to our moronic wars and our idiotic bailouts.

You do not grease their pocket so you are the scum they only trouble themselves with during elections.

In the days of Rome, a public official caught taking a bribe would be thrown into a sack with a wild animal, and the sack would be thrown into the river.

Tampa: The Cultural Cesspool of America

There is yet one more indication that the goofy, seedy, postmodern city of Tampa here in Florida , has got to be the cultural cesspool of America...a place teeming with wrongheadedness...with *cultural entropy* .

On a local news program on a relative's television set I overheard how some fruitcake bodybuilder and former marine (a disgrace to the marine corps) attacked a Greek Orthodox priest with a tire iron striking him brutally several times, all because the poor guy asked the young man for directions, after parking his car in a parking garage.

The weird young man reportedly went on a rampage against the priest and yelled at him something to the effect of accusing him of being a terrorist. Perhaps the young man didn't bother to slow down and figure out that not all people with clerical robes and long beards are Muslims . Apparently, the young man was the male equivalent of a bimbo .

Granted, we should wish him no harm for physical misfortune or desires for revenge does *not* serve justice .

Apparently , the priest was visiting from Greece and on route to a church in Tarpon Springs (a much more beautiful and decent city apparently) to perform at a funeral . Too bad he had to go through a weird ,seedy, mealy mouthed city like Tampa to get there .

The incident was reported on a local show called The Kathy Fountain show (a goofy show like so many in the present weird era that borders on tabloid t.v.)

To add insult to injury "her eminence" Kathy Fountain had a panel of legal pundits weighing in on the matter ...and oen weird , goofy twit of a lawyer suggested that somehow the priest who was the apparent victim may have somehow been at fault ! <-----Talk about goofy opinion-respecting, insipid postmodernism which wants to find some mushy middle ground on every issue ....

What was also appalling is that the tenor of many of the statements (made by Ms. Fountain) appeared to indicate that she was somehow open to such a notion that the young pretty- boy cretin who beat the priest somehow had supposedly some valid "side" ...even though the lawyer who alleged suspicions against the priest ...advanced some of the most flimsy argumentation in favor of that suspicion !

Tampa is a weird city (it ranks up there with other trashy cities around the world such as Bangkok, the cities in Monaco that draw rich sexual libertines and casino types) , Las Vegas and others .

Yours truly lived in Tampa while (at university in late 1995 early 1996) and he can report as an eyewitness that the city is not only ugly and seedy (with the exception of the Davis Island and Ybor city regions which are rather beautiful ..and perhaps a few other regions). Furthermore, Tampa has a lot of surly and petty people...uppitty people who act like perhaps they think that being attentive to trivial , mundane sort of minutae is some sort of accomplishment or something to get miffed at someone for not having accomplished it .

For if one analyzes the quality of pettiness, one finds it is a compound of two compound qualities 1. a punctillious attentiveness (without having) to be helped to mundane trivialities and 2. a snobby disdain for people who are not attentive to mundane trivialities and who have to ask . Pettiness is the weird snobbery of the people who are attentive and saavy with mundane trivialities ...and who would be given to say to someone who isn't "you shouldn't have to ask" or a similar statement to that .

For example, yours truly, when he was in Tampa, in public places, would often ask people what the time it was and a number of people (more than he has noticed in other cities ) would say with a hoity, tight-lipped demeanor , "There a clock over there !" as if it were somehow some sort of misconduct just to ask them what time it was .

(So what if the building had a clock , what's so painful about telling someone the time of day if one knows it or simply saying , "I don't know" if one doesn't ?! A decent person would be easygoing and would not look askance at someone for asking the time even if there was a clock in the room. So the person overlooks that there is a clock in the room ..so what ? How trivial !)

That is certainly not to say that everyone in Tampa is bad ---there are some very nice , noteworthy people who happen to have the misfortune of living there ...

Tampa is truly a postmodern city..seedy, tacky, kitschy, harboring a number of edgy, surly , and petty ...weird people ...including hipsters which tend to have the repulsive characteristics aforementioned .

That good noteworthy people like people of Greek nationality---who are among the finest, kindness upright people in the world , have the misfortune of getting an encounter with Tampa is a travesty . (Greece refused to surrender to Hitler's armies when they invaded and Winston Churchill in applauding the Greek soldiers apparently said,

'Hence you will not say that Greeks fight like heroes but that heroes fight like Greeks.) '

MEET THE SMITHS : A STORY

The following story below appeared in another message board ---where one interlocuter named Adam ---accused yours truly of being "a sexual deviant" because I have an aversion to sex. That goes to show how weird the present era is ...how very inverted where a person NOT wanting to get involved in sex is treated as if it were some sort of sexual perversion . Sort of like Big Brother proclaiming 'War is Peace' and 'Freedom is Slavery '.

Well when someone finds weird ANTI-logical statements, like the aforementioned from the man named Adam, one can get mad or one can get mad and write a satirical story . The latter is what I have done , as shown below .

The story below is rather like a one act play .

SKIT : MEET THE SMITHS : a 21 Century , Sex Positive Family

"Honey I just learned that there is a guy in the neighborhood who has NO interest in sex at all! He has NO sexual orientation whatsoever ! Roger , whatever will we do ?"

THE HUSBAND , "We'll just have to talk to the realtor . See if she can work out some kind of deal on the lease , Nina ! That other neighborhood , that subdivision over in the West Side has some suspected sex offenders , and rumor has it there's a guy who runs around in his underwear even in the winter Sue says that they always have openings for rent there and people are always moving out, if we could just wait out 8 more months !

THE WIFE , " 8 more months, Roger !!!. * 8 more months !.That's a long time to be in a neighborhood, where there's a guy who just walks his dog, collects rocks , and spends quaint , passe NON-sexual afternoons with his friends , and NEVER has sex , keeps to himself , and never even jacks off ! Think of the kids, Roger , there's a guy who never gets involved in sex in the neighborhood , the kids could wind up living a sheltered life , living in a neighborhood with people like him !!!!

"The neighbors here might never make the local news, or even be on CNN for anything exciting !

THE HUSBAND : "Honey, you are so right ! I've underestimated the whole problem ! Why 8 months are all it takes for a child to live a sheltered life... without them being exposed to anything sordid . 8 months are all it takes for us to get into a comfort zone . We've got to leave this bigoted neighborhood (maybe they're not all bigots, but one sexless apple could ruin the whole barrell) .Screw the lease , Nina.!

There's a guy at the at the adult film Store he works on weekends . He has two sons who could help us move for maybe a few bucks , plus I plan to detail his car for him next month , so we don't even have to call U-Haul !
The subdivision over on the West Side is the same district , believe it or not , so the kids won't even have to change schools ! "

... you might be surprised, but he's actually a neighbor of mine. Yup, Jason Leary.

Yes, he exists. He lives down here in Florida (I won't specify the city for fear it will be too personal for his liking). Yes, he really is a 40-year-old guy that is an absolutist, hates sex, and loves folk music and philosophy. He speaks of this site often, and visits mine and my parents' home from time to time to help my dad in the yard and other things like pick up CD's of music that I burn for him.

A lot of you that dislike him might think, "What's the point of this topic, anyways?" Well, all I'm doing is dispelling a common suspicion around here. You don't have to agree or disagree with Jay's (that's what we call him) views, but before you laugh him off as just some sock puppet, well, it's a fact that he's a real person.

I'm new, by the way. I'm not sure how often I'll be posting (if it all) around these parts, but Jay convinced me to make an account.

Meet Janet

In response to the stories that Jason fabricates to make his own point, stories that have no basis in reality, I wanted to contribute something absolutely real. The story below is based on actual events I've witnessed, the characters and incidents are amalgams of some of the things that happened with the incredible children I had the good fortune to know. Because it all happened in real life, there is no artificial moral to this story. Just a piece of reality. I'm not usually one of the longer posters, but this is the form my rebuttal to Jason took.

Janet looked at the long flight of stairs up to her apartment and sighed. Her shift at work had been long, 18 hours to be exact. Pausing before the climb, Janet realized just how tired she was that the stairs looked so very much longer than usual.

Her day had begun with a frantic call from the emergency room at four in the morning. One of the clients had tried to overdose again, and Janet was needed to consult with the doctor, fill out the paperwork, and be there for the client. Not a client, a kid, Janet thought. Just a kid who’s been through and seen things no human should ever experience, let alone a little kid. They were all kids, these clients, and Janet secretly called them her kids in her thoughts. She reasoned that someone should want them to be their kids, and since the families and the courts showed no positive interest, they could be hers. At least as long as she was with them, which was only fifty hours a week.

The early morning air was bitterly cold, and Janet could see little puffs of steam when she exhaled. Stopping only once at a gas station to grab a cup of coffee, she drove to the all-to-familiar county hospital emergency room. One of the nurses (who all knew Janet by name) smiled sympathetically as she made her way to the client. Janet saw, without surprise, that it was Tracy laying on the gurney in the little glass room. This was not Tracy’s first suicide attempt, and who could blame her? Tracy had come to the group home at the ripe old age of fourteen, and her thick case file was full of incidents that were so twisted Stephen King would think twice about writing them. Tracy had been abused physically, sexually, and emotionally since she was an infant, the first ER reports dated back to her first birthday, when she came in with two black eyes and a fractured ulna. The incident that haunted Janet the most was when, at the age of 11, Tracy’s stepfather had tied her spread eagle to the kitchen table while he and his friends gang raped her and burnt her with their cigarettes. Social Services had never been able to remove Tracy from the home for some reason, and it was only when she was arrested for stealing the neighbor’s car that she started her long journey through the juvenile justice system. Tracy’s placement at the group home had been a condition of her probation, as it was with many of the kids, and the group home was the first place that she had been able to feel a measure of safety. Janet wondered if Tracy had stolen the car just to go to juvie and get away from her stepfather.

Janet looked at Tracy silently for a moment. She inwardly cringed at the ladder-like cuts running up and down Tracy’s arms, and at the large scar on her left wrist from her last attempt. She may have finally escaped her stepfather’s house, but she had a long way to go before she escaped the effects of his abuse. Janet hoped that Tracy would be one of the resilient ones who go on to have a good, healthy life.

Janet relieved Jodie, the overnight staff from the girls' house, and sat down next to Tracy. They began to play the lame joke game, where they took turns telling the worst jokes they had ever heard or could create. Finally Janet got in a particularly horrible joke about an elephant and Tracy couldn’t help but laugh. Tracy loved Janet, and Janet loved her right back. Tracy was one of those kids who could go to college at sixteen and graduate early, with honors. This was why they almost lost her when she cut her wrist, she knew where the artery she wanted to cut was.

Eventually, the doctor came to discuss aftercare instructions and to have Janet fill out the paperwork. While Janet was working on the last triplicate form Tracy changed out of her hospital gown and into her own clothes. The front of her shirt was a mess of charcoal and vomit, but she preferred it to the skimpy cotton gown. Janet told her she needed to stop trying to kill herself because she kept ruining her favourite shirts. Tracy sat wide-eyed and silent for a moment, and then they both started laughing.

After the long, winding road to the girls’ house and then to the office, Janet had just enough time to write a medical incident report on Tracy before it was time to make the rounds. The day went by quickly, as non-profit agencies exist in perpetual chaos. Janet spent the better part of her day on the phone arguing with MediCal trying to get coverage for one of the kids that MediCal insisted was living with her dead mother. She had actually succeeded in getting coverage one month, and celebrated at home with a bottle of cheap champagne. Sadly, MediCal had revoked coverage the next month, which was just before the doctor’s appointment she had scheduled. Apparently, MediCal thought it more likely for a crack head to rise from the grave and care for her daughter than for her daughter to be in placement at a group home.

Janet gathered up her papers and headed over to one of the boys’ houses to do a medical intake on a new kid, Robert. She sat down with Robert, introduced herself, and asked him the routine questions (do you have allergies to any medications? Do you have any medical requests? Do you have any questions for me? etc). Robert just stared at her. Glancing down at the medication tracking sheet, she could see why. Robert was a drooler, a kid who had been medicated to the point that he was barely functional. He was also very easy to deal with, which probably meant that he wasn’t before and someone decided to make him into a walking vegetable so he’d be easy to deal with. Janet put the medication tracking sheet into the house notebook, checked the numerous amber bottles, and made a mental note to call the psychiatrist as soon as she got back to the office.

Around one o’clock, Janet became aware that she was ravenously hungry. While driving into the parking lot of the local grocery store, Janet saw a group of petitioners standing at the doors. As she approached, they asked her to sign the petition. She read it, and realized that it was a petition from the neighborhood of one of the boy’s homes to get the group home out of their town. The town in which the group home was based was widely known as an affluent, all-Christian community, and Janet was shocked to see the number of signatures they had already collected. Before going into the store to get her lunch, Janet stayed to talk to the petitioners. They were pleasant people, just very ignorant regarding the nature of the group home and the population it served. Janet also considered the fact that the group home served primarily minorities might be of concern in this all white town. After a long conversation with the petitioners (who, surprisingly, promised to write an apology letter to the group home), a tall, white-haired man began to yell at Janet. Janet was showered with spittle as the man raved about the rapists and murderers being housed in their neighborhoods and how they were going to escape and rape his granddaughter. Janet, thinking about her morning with Tracy, quietly made her way to her car with some difficulty. Fine Christian community indeed.

The rest of the day went smoothly, and Janet was very ready to go home when, at 4:55, she got another emergency call. One of the boys had punched a brick chimney and his hand really didn’t look right. Janet drove over to the boys’ house and picked up Johnny, whose anger had quickly subsided in the face of the massive pain in his hand. Johnny was 13 and had a hard time moving the left side of his body. When Johnny was three his grandma had thrown him against a wall, and the resulting damage caused partial paralysis and cognitive impairment. Johnny was a quiet and thoughtful boy, and Janet liked him quite a bit. He didn’t speak much, but when he did it was because he really had something to say. What Johnny usually had to say showed a depth and uniqueness that impressed peers and staff alike.

They arrived at the emergency room, watched a mute Law and Order rerun on the waiting room’s TV, and then were escorted to one of the little glass rooms. After Johnny’s hand and arm had been x-rayed, the doctor raised the film to the light and commented on what an accident-prone boy Johnny was – there were a lot of old fractures. Johnny was quiet. On the way out, sporting a big splint around his hand and wrist, Johnny spoke up. “You know, I didn’t have a lot of accidents. My mom did that. This one time…” His face went dark, and then he said, “I hate her, but I still love her. Is that weird?” Janet thought for a minute, then answered,” No, it’s not weird. It’s okay to have two different feelings at the same time. It’s confusing, but we can’t help what we feel.” She paused, then said, “Maybe you could talk to Sylvia about your mom.” Sylvia was the therapist, and she was good. You wouldn’t know it from looking at her, with her piercings and ever-changing hair colors, but she was kind and funny and could get even the most hardened gangsters to open up to her. Janet mused to herself that Sylvia might not have been as effective if she dressed like a professional therapist, her wildness brought down the barrier between adult therapist and group home kid. Sylvia’s appearance said, “It’s okay, I’m not going to judge you. I get it.”

Finally back at the office, Janet finished the medical incident report on Johnny, gathered up some “homework” and left for home. It was 8:30, the sun was long gone, and she saw again those little puffs of steam as she exhaled.

Those stairs look so long, she thought, but I’m almost there. As she opened the door, she was surprised to smell spaghetti. Roy, her husband, popped his head around the kitchen wall and smiled. “I knew it was going to be a late night for you, so I made you a little dinner.” Janet smiled back, closing her eyes and reveling in the warmth of the apartment. “Thank you so much,” she said, “you have no idea.” Roy listened solemnly as Janet gave him the highlights of the day in between huge mouthfuls of the ever-so-welcome spaghetti.

She told Roy of Johnny’s question about love and hate, and told him it had made her think of her job. “I love that I can help these kids, even a little, but I hate knowing what I know.” She put down her fork and put her hands to her face, hot tears rolling down her still-cold cheeks. “God, I hate what I know!”

Roy grabbed a tissue from the counter and gave it to her. After she had wiped her tears, he motioned for her to get up, took her hand, and led her down the hall. In the bedroom, he began to kiss her face - her forehead, her cheeks, her nose, her lips. She giggled weakly, then kissed him back. The held each other and kissed for a while, the warmth of Roy spreading through Janet’s body and into her battered soul. Gently, he undressed her, kissing her all over as he did so, and together they sank onto the bed.

After it was over, they lay entangled under the blankets, limp as rag dolls, deliciously relaxed, happy and warm. “I love you.” Janet murmured, “I think sometimes you’re the only thing that keeps me sane.” Roy kissed the top of her head and stroked her hair. “I love you too, honey.” he said in a soft, sleepy voice, “I love you too.”

Around two in the morning Janet awoke from a nightmare. It was the same as always, Tracy was standing on the railroad tracks, waving and yelling out lame, nonsensical jokes, and the train was coming. Janet ran as fast as she could, screaming at Tracy to move, but she was too late. She was always too late. Tracy exploded with the impact of the train.

Janet got up quietly, went to the kitchen and made a cup of tea. She then sat down on the couch, opened her briefcase on the coffee table, and began to work.

AN EXPERIMENT WORTH TRYING

PREFACE

There are so many beautiful and amazing objects and phenomenon in Existence that it is sad , indeed, that people pass them by and consume so much time with the usual giggles of liberated sex and other earthy phenomenon .

[Even if there were not wasting time on uninhibited sex and other earthy sorts of content ---be it amusement with farting , horror and slasher films , melodrama about office politics and workplace politics and news anecdotes about murder and t.v. shows about it, and so on, would still be pointless .]

The phenomenon of liberated sex is NOT the only cultural malaise , but is part and parcel of larger malaise of the meta-theme of earthiness in general, which the cultural mood of the present era is scalp deep in . One of the main characteristics of the present zeitgeist ( spirit of the age) is earthiness ...a celebration of the crass/ the tacky /the moribund / the sordid .

Yours truly as a participant who often posts on the present message board has noticed that he is often accused of being preoccupied with the sexual proclivities extant in the present era --albeit preoccupied in a derisive way---preoccupied with being *against* such proclivities .However, the truth of the matter is yours truly is chafing at the bit to converse about other topics and highlight not just what one should be against , but instead what people ought to be for and do so not just in a passing way where most of the text is preoccupied with what I am against , but do so more directly . However, the figurative smoke cast by liberated sex (the opiate of the masses) holds such large sway over so much of public and private discourse , that it is time to clear that smoke.

Among other ramifications that the polemics against liberated sex , have , they are a kind of didactic icebreaker .It is important that enough culture jamming of the "memes" of liberated sex be launched and receive enough success at jamming them that a greater plateau in discourse be reached . So enough with the long winded preface and let me cut to the proverbial chase .

TO THE MAIN TOPIC (Please pardon the occasional caps , Brother I-Barb , I will try to keep them at a minimum) .

It has been noticed that when NON-earthy topics (topics *not* having to with sex, nor horror films, nor who one would like to visit revenge upon and so on) have been put in the form of threads that start out as new thread topics in the present forum , such non-earthy topics ---topics having to do with questions of ultimate meaning and meta-meaning---or even photos whose imagery is intricate and beautiful, which could evoke contemplation of such topics, such threads with a few exceptions receive about as much interest as the proverbial Sadie Hawkins at the local sockhop dance !

There have been (in all fairness) some notable exceptions in the present message board . For example , the post by Solari about the near death experience (with its interesting forays into the physics of Black Hole singularities) has attracted more responses. The contributions of Andrew/ Hokey in that thread have been at times a welcome contribution ---when he is not defending sex or to be more accurate opposing the people that are opposed to liberated sex , he does come up with some very fascinating and noteworthy comments in regard to Cabala and physics (though one often wishes one had more ciphers, or a skeleteon key, to help parse the syntax of what he posted) .

The post topic thread regarding what the internet (and the lifeworlds at large might be like) a billion years from now did garner more relevant comments than merely two or three, however , one wishes it could be yet more .

The funny thing is there is often the complaint launched here whose gist is "well, Jason you are the one who keeps posting about sex....you are the one who is always bringing up the topic" (and aside that there is quite a vast difference between mentioning the topic in a way that is *against* it , instead of , in a way that is for sex)
the odd thing is that one would think that people who accuse me of clogging the cyperspace here with some sort of preoccupation *against* (NOT to be confused with a preoccupation for)... sex , if they are indeed interested in other topics and , moreover , other topics of a worthwile sort ---*not* other earthy topics like slasher films , which way one would like to kill ones enemies ect excetera, would then want to post relevant comments on the fledgling posts on deep topics that yours truly and others (like Mr.Solari and I-Barb) , have posted . So it is indeed weird and rather mendacious that we hear the complaint brought by a number of regulars at the present website (though not all make that complaint) that I am supposedly the one who cannot post about anything else ...

For all yours truly has to do is post some post that denounces liberated sex , and one sees how quickly it fills up with people all too glad to tell me what a wacko I am , or that I'm out of touch with the more pressing problems of the Earth, or that I'm a wacko madman "wingnut" *and* out of touch with the more pressing problems of the Earth .
Yet so often when I seek to spark relevant conversation about *other * topics like say astronomy, particular remarkable paintings, the intricate geometry of a type of a beautiful crystal, a quasi-mystical experience had by the poet Elizabeth Bishop (which might have interesting ramifications for epistemology and cognitive theory), beautiful birds and other animals, and so on ...people avoid commenting on it almost like it was a post that could give one leprosy by responding to it !!! But just watch how so many people here are so eager to post comments when defending the sacred cow of sex , from an "infidel" like me dare posting criticism of it .....let me reinterate again for emphasis .

Enrika, a frequent participant here , on another occasion faulted the lack of interest in the thread about the quasi-mystical experience of poet Elizabeth Bishop that I posted , as being possibly due to how I just posted it and did not bother to ask people what they think in order to solicit comments .So in light of that ...yours truly is going to try an interesting experiment . I'm going to post several hyperlinks to online photos (let us hope the hyperlinks take ) and ask people in the present forum to comment upon them .

Let us see if people in the present forum in vast numbers do comment upon them --and with relevant commentary , not using some loose association that people want to make with something sexual ...not a chance for Rockstar to trot out the fixation he has with masturbation that he keeps bringing up time and time again (though Rockstar is certainly welcome and encouraged to comment with relevant commentary) . Will be looking for both quantity and quality of comments in this present thread.

Yours truly hopes to be pleasantly suprised and have the present pessimistic anticipation vanish away like the morning's fog in the noonday sun .

Knowing the tenor of this present earthy , prosaic era and knowing how many (though not all) settle for the well worn fast mediocrity of the earthy, one fears that the earthy , prosaic people will call such content "pretentious" . The term "pretentious" like the mindlessly bandied about term "pseudo-intellectual" (notice those terms are put in sneer quotes to sneer at those who are so quick to use them) tends to be the term used by so many prosaic , contemporary "with it" , today sort of people to christen anything that invites people to do more than wallow their minds in earthy shite and fast giggles . Ask anyone to raise their minds towards anything beyond the tenor of South Park ,Family Guy, Adult Swim , the latest ballyhhooed "thought provoking" smash movie, or some sort of witty , edgy indie film full of double-entendres and irony , then one runs the risk of presenting something of a so-called "pretentious" or so-called "pompous" sort .

Faux Paranoia

We seem to live in an age now where not only are we (the average citizen) not taken at our word but even the most common methods of confirming what we say are no longer considered acceptable. More than once I have been told by people who used their driver's license to cash checks that a state issued ID is not accepted by them unless they also submit to a thumbprint as well. Never mind that this is actually illegal in many states, the banks that require this know that almost everybody will bend over and sacrificed their personal identity so they can get what is rightfully theirs. I have also noticed that the greatest scrutiny is applied to the most everyday events, cameras on street corners, cameras at checkout lines, but the supposedly public events like supreme court hearings are given a curtain of secrecy that none of us can enjoy.

There is a reason for this, and a reason for why it has happened increasingly in the last couple decades. No it is not the more wide availability of this technology, though this has helped to greatly justify it's application. The most basic reason is that in earlier times when most of the people at the top were merely out to make a profit, we now have a new generation who have added "by any means necessary" to that policy. When you have met criminals, con men and other flavors of thieves, you can spot one very common trait - they trust nobody. People tend to view the world from the prism of their own mindset, and when you believe that people only exist solely so you steal from them, you believe that everybody is out to get you too. As these people have come to dominate the corporate world, this paranoia (coupled with cheaper surveillance technology) has created a master class of people who will assume you are not a customer, but a potential shop lifter. You are not a person wanting to make a deposit or withdrawal, you are a identity thief who is trying to take their money.

The funny truth is, we live in an era when most crime is going down. Do not believe the paranoids though, their efforts make at best a immeasurably small impact. The reality is not that crimes are being stopped as they simply aren't happening, largely due to completely unrelated causes, such as keeping violent criminals in jail longer, the cheapening of goods that at one time were worth stealing, and even social issues like abortion. The result is, the primary criminal class now... are the paranoid criminals who run the major corporations.

Anyone Have A Similar Experience ?

One afternoon(if memory serves righly it was in 1995) I was riding the city bus in Lakeland , Florida near where the former J.C. Penny department store building was ...which (by that time) had been purchased by some other business ...NOT a department store, and upon looking out the window of the city bus at people walking on the sidewalks or crossing streets ---either going to work, or going about other excursions ...it all suddenly looked very funny (though the people were not doing anything that would usually be considered funny ...it was just an average afternoon in town)...and I burst into something like a paroxysm of uncontrollable laughing .

I could hardly stop for quite some time ; it is a wonder I didn't fall out of my bus seat .

Taking apart the various components of mood and /or cognition , I report with accurate retrospection that it was as if the usual everyday sights lost their usual sense of dull mental habit associated with language ( i.e. the sense of habit what you call things and events either out loud , or inwardly.... in the internal dialogue) that for a moment there was an instant of raw seeing of such ordinary sights and sounds ...and the throwness of them as being thrown together in that particular ensemble in that particular time and space either

(A) seemed somehow absurd ...

or

(B) that it is seemed somehow unwieldy to fit that experience back into the usual descriptions of language (e.g. here are people crossing the street , walking on the sidewalks going to work, running errands ) .

I'm inclined to think the mentation involved was that of scenario (B) .

Yet I long to know what the deeper implication of that expereince is (if any) ?

Sometimes I laugh at apparently nothing, or nothing other than the walkabout daily events that aren't particularly funny--not at tragic events mind you (I certainly don't do that) but just the experience, say, of sitting on a chair, or being in the room . In recent years (in telephone discussions), my father has disclosed to me that he also laughs sometimes at apparently everyday events for no usual reason .

My uncle on my mother's side. Uncle Mike , who died in 2001 , would sometimes stand in front of a mirror and look at himself and burst out laughing intermittently .

What is the ideatum of such experiences ? What cosmic meanings do they signify , if any ?

(Yours truly is chary of using the term 'cosmic', because it is sometimes used as a vague superlative)

Was at the veterans day parade today in Atlanta GA, lots of guns and stuff, later on in afternoon, I was working on 16th floor of highrise
and two f 18 Hornets in tight fromation flew right by the window over Centenial olympic park below me.
It's kind of wierd seeing fighter jets buzzing around inbetween 50 to 70 floor buildings when your up in one,
last time i saw some low flybys was just after 911 happened on the days the Us airspace was shut down for about a week, there were f15s buzzing around downtown back then, ( a short lived aerial supremacy exercise called operation iron sheild if i'm not mistaken ), not quite as low as the hotshots I saw today though.
heard one X marine describe the rooooooaaaar of fighter jets as the sound of freedom, some time ago.

The 2000's, the American 'lost decade'

For those who don't know, Japan suffered during the 90's a period non existent growth, persistent unemployment and massive efforts by the government proved utterly futile. It was called "The Lost Decade" for good reason, as you could have ripped it off their calendar and it would not have made any real difference in their society fiscally speaking.

For us, the 2000's has been our own lost decade, only what worries me is ours is shaping up to be even longer. The current crowing is how our national unemployment rate has moved an almost imperceptible tick downward, from 9.7 to 9.6% yet when I checked the stats on all the major cities it showed theirs had actually gone up. Of LA, New York, Seattle, Houston, Washington DC and Chicago, only Seattle had a drop, the others have gone up. The worrisome thing is major cities tend to be the economic canaries, when they drop dead the rest of the country tends to follow suit so whatever minor hiccup they are cheering about is likely to be the calm before the next bout of storm.

Worse yet, if this 'recovery' proves to be like the last two, where there was supposed increases in company profits, this was born from streamlining and downsizing so unlike say the internet boom, the manufacturing boom of the 50's and 50's, these recoveries came from cannibalizing their staff not from infrastructural growth. As we have no real industry or technology that seems poised to ignite our commercial fire this is likely to be yet another "jobless recovery" and if that's the case be ready to have double digit unemployment become a mainstay of our society.

Be ready for both sides to do... nothing. To some extent I understand why, nobody has any real ideas that could both work AND they are willing to embrace. Corporate america is terrified of the idea of competing with anybody, the government's idea of stimulus is to pork barrel project which only benefits a tiny handful, and the citizenry has been conditioned to neither want or be able to start their own enterprises.

Looks like the Randians are getting their 'Atlas Shrugged' scenario after all.
I wonder if they'll realize how much that would really suck.
They're going to find out.

The next person who tells me how Walmart or Hollywood or any other megacorp that makes more than the average south american country is just some innocent bunch of wide eyed capitalists I will soundly beat them to death with Walmart's court docket (they are by the way the most sued organization in the world outside of a governing body).

I have heard it before from more experienced economists and my own personal observations back it up. That the people who loathe a free market the most are those who are forced to compete in it. Walmart and it's ilk have NO interest in competing fairly and like the big kid who has played the game longer than most, they seem to have no compunctions against cheated blatantly and openly with the "What're you gonna say, i can pound the shit out of you twerp!" look on their face.

As a devout believer in anarcho-capitalistic principles, I feel quite often like the person who preaches the first ammendment only to find the only people interested in are the publishers of Mein Kamphf.

My position is that Morals are just short cuts in cognition that allow us to avoid all the hard work of thinking a thing through and weighing the competing interests and just answer the question: "Should I do it or not?"

Or stated another way Morals are Fictions we make up for convenience. There is no such thin as morality in the same sense that there is no such thing as the number Seven or the hour of Five O'clock. That these things are all constructs we imagine to help us order our universe.

So too there is no such thing as color. Color is like some great mass hallucination shared by most humans.
What we perceive of as having color is merely absorbing light waves not associated with the color and reflecting those that are. Then our eyes respond to the energy frequency of the mass and speed of the light particles and send a signal to the brain which is interpreted as a color. The whole thing is an invention of the mind.

I wonder how much of the universe around us is really just mass hallucination?

NOTE : The following is a fictitious (though it is an appropro portrayal of relativist/postmodernist thinking) story that depicts a young man (age 24) who supports postmodernist/relativist ideology . He is sent back in time from circa 2007 A.D. to 1855 Oneida, New York (by a University sociology department) to engage in discussion with an abolitionist orator. The young man is called in the story : Pomo kid ...'pomo' being an abbreviation for postmodernist . He is sent back into time with a special hidden video and audio device designed to record sound and image of the discussion that he will have with Benjamin Obadiah Whittaker --an abolitionist and former slave, who is scheduled on that June evening to give a speech on the evils of slavery at the Shaker meeting house during a meeting hosted by the Oneida abolitionist society .

The exchange between Pomo Kid and the abolitionist leader is a cautionary tale, presented in a format similar to a one-act play designed to reveal the incongruity and general murkiness of postmodernist/relativist thinking .

PREFACE :Pomo kid has gotten in the time machine and the controls have been set for June 25, 1855 . Since the machine is the first of its kind and time travel with it expected to be slow going on what the scientists back at the lab call it's "maiden voyage" , Pomo Kid has taken some magazines: the UTNE reader (bought for him by his limosine- liberal parents who read it themselves ) and Relevant Magazine .

Pomo Kid --having a short attention span fostered by years of chronic MTV watching --has also taken a specially made CD player and some CDs to keep him amused. When he gets to 1855 Oneida , New York he discovers that miraculously the CD players and CD's work --though he has a hard time getting them to work while riding in the time machine. The CD 's he has taken are as follows : Jewel's Greatest Hits, a CD by the musical band Toad The Wet Sprocket, a CD by Jimmy Eat World, The Dawson's Creek t.v. show soundtrack, a CD from the band Barenaked Ladies, and Rumors by Fleetwood Mac (A CD that he borrowed from his parents) , and a CD from a singer named Dan Hasletine .

The time machine soon arrives in a dairy cattle field in 1855 Oneida,
New York . He steps out of the time machine with his CD head set over his ears --and hidden minature camera recording device cocked and disguised as one of his piercings . As he steps out on to the farm field of Ezra Howell Drummond --no person sees the machine land nor him emerge. The dairy cows give him monentary glances of dull suprise and then return to to crunching and grazing down the vast green verdure . He looks at a minature digital map device and proceeds to walk to the shaker meeting house to hear the speech by Obadiah Whittaker .

He arrives on time and sits down . Some of the abolitionists and interested town folks noticed Pomo kid as he arrives and are somewhat baffled by his odd appearance --as his clothes , hairstyle and general demeanor do not look period, but do not approach him . They are more interested in the speech by Mr. Benjamin Whittaker . Benjamin Whittaker presents a cogent and eloquent indictment of the evils of chattel slavery in the antebellum south. He especially highlights the treatment of slave women by slavemasters, overseers, and their cronies and acquaintances who from time to time rape the slave women on the plantations .

Pomo kid allows his CD headspeakers to droop a little so he can hear the speech ---and gives a skimming of the main elements . As the speech draws to its close Pomo kid hears the anti-slavery orator sum up the directive set before good citizens everywhere in a way that does NOT mince words .

' And so good citizens of Oneida , we can send forth the clear message ...both to posterity , to others who have shared and will share the North American continent, and to all nations and every town and village abroad , that we will no longer accept, nor even partially accept, a wicked commerce of bodies and souls that treats marriage and kinship as makeshift gambits in some sordid game , where transgression of the convenants between man and women is done with impunity . We will stand with the men , women, and children who long to have the stability accorded to man and wife by civilized society. We make no caveat to the forces of darkness and depravity that would settle for anything less! '

There is a roar of applause and even a few Amens from the audience .

Soon the speech is then over and there is time for handshakes and entreties from the audience .

Pomo Kid then approaches the abolitionist orator .

POMO KID : "Hey Mr.Whiitaker , dude . I, like, enjoyed your speech . I can see that feel quite passionate about racial oppression and all , but there's some stuff I'd like to discuss with you . I know that slavery is a bad scene and it's kinda bogus how slaves are treated , but you gotta learn to respect the opinion of those who want to rape their slave women and sell their kids to other plantations too and look at it from their perspective some too . You are like so judgemental, so preachy , dogmatic ...so one-sided towards the opinions of those who want to rape slave women, beat them some, and sell their children downriver . It's like you want to preach instead of discussing...you preach. You got to learn to look at it from other perspectives. What you are doing is the us versus them approach towards people who oppress and exploit slaves . The us versus them approach isn't good . It's fanatical to take the us versus them approach . The us versus them way is, like, so yesterday . Everything is connected . it's all connected. Really the slavowner and the oppressed slaves are really part of the same thing . Making distinctions is so passe /so yesterday . It's all one . It's all how you look at it .

You know there's many sides to every issue. Stuff like slavery is not all black and white there are shades of grey. It's not totally bad being oppressed as a slave . You got to look at it from other points of view . Learn to accept that problems are part of life...a growing experience . You know, getting raped and being sold away from your family just goes to show that life is give and take . If nobody ever got raped or exploited then you wouldn't have give and take ...and so you wouldn't have reality ; it would be all idealistic . We can't have stuff being idealistic all the time. Life is supposed to be a mixture of things . People are a mixture of things. It's all the duality of man . In the time period I come from, we study deconstructionism and post-structuralism at my college and I've been getting into Michel Foucault , and Lyotard, and Richard Rorty. They teach us not to totalize . what your are doing is totalizing ...making people out to be villans if they don't agree with rigid moral constructs . It's all just language games --the divisions of beleifs that people have . There aren't any absolute truths ...or if there are, there aren't very many...or we can't be sure what they are .

You got to learn something Mr.Whittaker: don't be so single-minded ....

(Pomo kid pauses for an extended period of time and fiddles with his CD player and changes the Jewel CD for a Dawson's Creek CD . He turns it down slighly so he can somewhat hear Mr . Benjamin Whittaker speak .)

Benjamin Whittaker stares at Pomo Kid with a look of utter credulity and disgust at the weirdly pusillanimous , and convoluted statements that have poured forth from the young man's mouth . He then speaks

BENJAMIN WHITTAKER SPEAKS : Young man, I scarcely know where to begin to disabuse you of the false , and weirdly ludicrous statements you have put forth here. You claim I must respect the vile opinions of those who support the exploitation and tyrrany which oppresses persons of African descent--and , moreover, exploits women whose virginity has been taken from them by force! What on earth have such opinions done to merit such respect, or to even almost halfway earn such respect .? Young man I can scarcely help wondering if you have fallen in with revelling hooligans in Manhattan that smoke opium in houses of ill repute and, that such riotous living has altered your febrile brain to such an extent that you find it a habit to talk nonsense . Young man, I do not know where you are from ---

(Pomo Kid then interrupts Mr. Whittaker in mid sentence . Pomo kid is, after all, a postmodernist of the MTV generation and considers being fair and waiting till someone is finished talking to be passe and old fashioned communication practice, which he wants nothing to do with . Pomo kid favors a more edgy , open ended approach .)

POMO KID SPEAKS : (Decides to start out with circular thinking ) . Dude, the idea that it's wrong to rape slave women , or brutally beat and exploit slaves and sell their children away from them ...that's wrong to us , but not to the people who support exploiting and raping slaves... Doing that's right to them . Morals and truth are relative and subjective. What's true to you may not be true to them . It's all just different perspectives. If you go and say that its absolutely wrong for people to exploit and rape their slaves instead of saying that it's wrong to us, then ...you're like Hitler. Now you probably aren't familiar with who Hitler is ...but in the 20 Century there's gonna be this guy called Hitler, who takes over and takes away people's rights. And if you say that some belief is totally wrong and another belief is totally right then you're like Hitler . Just like these holocaust survivors that the nazis put into concentration camps and came out being all bitter and one sided and preachy and say what Hitler and the nazis did was wrong and don't respect the nazi point of view a little---well they're like Hitler too ! Just like a person who always stops a bully from bullying people and won't look at it from a bully point of view a little...well that makes that kind of one-sided person who is against bullying, a bully too and just as bad as the real bully . Furthermore, just by saying that some belief or practice is wrong--- just by verbally calling that belief wrong you violate their right to free expression to say that opposite belief...even without any physical violence against them ...without a single shot being fired .

You got to understand also that if somebody says that some belief isn't absolute , then that right there prooves that it isn't . Take the proposition that says that 2+2=4 . Well as long as somebody disagrees with the idea that 2+2=4 then that automatically shows that the idea that 2+2=4 isn't absolute, otherwise every person would have to say they agreed with 2+2 being = 4, otherwise it's not absolute .

In the time period of history that I come from (which is the late 20 th and early 21 Centuries ) there's this show called the Real World . Now since television hasn't been invented yet in 1855, you probably aren't familar with that word. Television in the time I come from is a lot like what plays are on stages in the time you're in . Television is kind of like a play ---only more fun . So in the time I come from there is a show called 'The Real World' ...and people on that show sometimes have different beliefs and so they can come together and get real and talk about the issues that bother them . The show teaches people to come out of their comfort zone (Pomo Kid runs through memory banks to come up with more newspeak words and phrases and finds some) and therefore they can have an impactive, impactful affect on each others lives and give each other feedback about what they think. Now the people who are being raped , beaten , or exploited by masters and overseers down on those slave plantations they got to stop being so one-sided and look at from another perspective and come out of their comfort zone and stop portraying rape and exploitation as something totally bad. They can then get together with the slave owners and overseers and tell them about the way they feel and then get the slave owners and overseers to come out of their comfort zone too , and maybe tone down the rape and exploitation a little . That way you don't have an us versus them .

Some people would say that what I'm saying doesn't make much sense ...that it's inconsistent /ambivalent thinking (which is another way of saying sell- out thinking ) but I don't call it selling out . I call it "looking at it from another perspective" . And about the people claiming that postmodernism like I've been trying to get you to support, doesn't make much sense, well it doesn't have to make sense. Making sense is so passe ...so yesterday . Distinctions are just so passe . I don't bother with rigid distinctions. I 've gotten into a sort of thinking called lateral thinking ...that doen't get all hung up on distinctions . Lateral thinking doesn't have to always make sense.

You Mr. Whittaker are a linear thinker ...that consistent thinking is so out of style....so outmoded . Lateral thinking, that postmodernists such as me go for doesn't bother with having to make sense ...it tolerates ambiguity . You mr. Whittaker are so rigidly consistent /so single-minded ...a fanatical ideologue that goes to extremes of consistent thinking. You aren't conflicted about anything !!!!

In the time period I came from, there was a singer called Moby---who used to be so dogmatic and one-sided about the animal rights cause, but lately he learned not to be so judgemental towards opinions of people who don't support animal rights . He respects the outlook of the people who are against animal rights now --even though he's for animal rights .The same flexibility applies to any social cause. After all, a professor I had once in a classroom, quoted the quote, "a foolish consistency is the hobgoblin of small minds" .I've learned that selling out is not so bad . '

You probably don't think I identify with oppressed people but I do . My girlfriend and life partner Jasmine and me have gone to a lot of take back the night rallies . She's real dogmatic against sex (if you ask me she has some real issues if she's against group sex games) . Sex is like my identity . Also i understand oppression because people sometimes look at me funny because I have a lot of piercings ...so I know what it's like to be oppressed too . '

Crime rates have been slowly dropping now since the 80's. Rape and murder in many major cities are at generational lows. This has been debated over, some in the Freakonomics crowd attribute it to abortion, others to extensive criminal incarceration. However public perception has been diverging and when queried most citizens think crime is actually on the rise.

The problem for politicians is Crime is the all-purpose villain. What citizen (let alone politician) wants people to go easy on criminals? So the relentless demand to make crimes dealt with more harshly has led to children being put on sex offender lists for kissing their classmates and what before would barely merit a fine now leads to years in jail. Worse yet, things that seem questionable are now outright felonies to the point that you could do something that seems innocent (like ragging on a person in your blog) and if some people have their way it will land you in jail.

Seems there are now MORE people applying to each job than when the recession started.
Seriously they need to be more honest, and admit that they are not talking about the US economy, they are talking about the Dow Jones and the state of the credit providers when they are giving out their news.

More and more it becomes clear that a centralized banking system is the CAUSE not the solution to economic upheavals. When you have an entity (backed by the government) that will bail out a bank or industry, those in charge of said entity will behave with a recklessness akin to somebody who's been told nothing they do will kill them and that they're immortal.

But didn't banks and major businesses fail before the Fed? Of course, but usually they were very small entities, and while a single neighborhood or town might be ruined by this, that was the limit of such a bank failure. Larger banks such as the the ones at the dawn of the 20th century had only grown to their size because they were cautious with their deposits and were the responsible ones. Remove any threat of failure though and even the most well managed institution is going to give into the temptation of the bailout.

A company that has grown "too big to fail" is a company that is too large to be tolerated.

Jennifer looks back on the run of HBO's "Sex in the City" and comes to the conclusion that its departure could have happened none too soon. WARNING: Contains mature themes. May offend some and is not suitable for all readers.

I did not have to view even one episode of HBO’s vaunted series, “Sex in the City” in order to understand what the concept was about. “Sex in the City” revolved around somewhat dimwitted career women let loose in the big city - free to indulge their baser animal instincts with a series of interchangeable men.

The scripts read as though they were written by immature testosterone laden sixteen-year-olds . The crass and juvenile titles serve as an example:

"Bay of Married Pigs"
"Old Dogs, New Dicks"
"The F***ing Buddy"
"Politically Erect"
"Belles of the Balls"
"Just Say Yes"
"Great Sexpectations", just to name a few.

And a special recap of Season One, Episode Four where “Charlotte’s current boyfriend wants to have anal sex with her, and she doesn’t know what to do. After conferring with her friends she decides against it because she doesn’t want to be known as the 'up the butt' girl."

It is truly amazing that so called adults would bother wasting their time watching this puerile crap, but then again, even Maureen Dowd has fans.

“Sex in the City” provides more proof if any is needed - that feminism is truly dead. Today’s enlightened career women - as portrayed by HBO - dress like whores and act like sluts. They apparently see nothing moral abhorrent about affairs with married men - “Bay of Married Pigs” - or endlessly meaningless strings of one night stands.

Feminism has “come a long way, baby” indeed. Equal pay for equal work and the right of women to pursue a career has devolved rapidly. In the 1970’s, women’s magazines crowed about the coming obsolescence of men. By the turn of the century, women’s magazines were breathlessly explaining how to perform gratifying sex acts on them. One doesn’t have to read too far to find articles explaining how 12 and 13 year old middle school girls, desperate for the attention of boys, are performing fellatio on them - sometimes in the company of their friends. Where will such a girl be, when she is 21?

Perhaps she’ll be on a college campus, where she can join in the burgeoning campus “sex-positive” movement. As chronicled by Jean Pearce in The Washington Times, the “sex positive” movement “promotes deviant sex as normal and healthy”. Pearce details how “sex festivals”, “on-campus sex workshops” and women’s studies departments have joined to “promote promiscuity and glorify prostitution and pornography under the guise of sex education.”

This feminist led movement seeks to embrace “all bacchanalia as positive, no matter how promiscuous or personally degrading”. “Prostitutes, porn stars, sex shop owners, transvestites and lesbian cross dressers called drag queens” are paid to come onto campus in order to give lectures and host workshops. Pearce describes how porn star and self-described former prostitute Annie Sprinkle hosts workshops for students which include having sex on stage. San Francisco sex shop owner, sex worker and sex party hostess Carol Queen brings her sex toys on campus, where they are used to teach students important academic subjects like anal sex, S&M and bondage. Meet the new feminism - prostitution as empowerment.

In previous days, feminine chastity, modesty and reticence were applauded. In the real world they still are. Few female executives would get by wearing slutty clothing and coming onto their male co-workers. They would be viewed as an unprofessional liability. Few women who indulged in a daily diet of rotating men would feel good - much less empowered - by it. Instead of glamorous dates and romance, they end up with unwanted pregnancies, scars from abortions and a variety of STDs. Women used to be wooed by men, now they are expected to perform for them and perform like a porn star to boot.

One clueless man, writing in the New York Times, admits that he has been letting his daughter watch “Sex in the City” since she was nine. Wonderful. Instead of Pooh Bear and Disney Princesses, his little third/fourth grader has been treated to a constant diet of immoral women having coarse sex with anonymous men. And she’s growing up thinking that this is how mature, sophisticated women act.

Given this diet of depravity, she’ll be a natural for the “sex positive” movement once she gets to college. ***

Does The Earthy Mood of The Pursuit Of Liberated Sex Dovetail (in some metathematic sense) With Crass Consumerism,Venality and so on ?

For sometime now, a thesis I have been exploring oftentimes in a somewhat tenative sense ...is the thesis that there is a kind of similarity in mood...in the sort of dispositional sensibility among the earthy sort of mood fostered towards (and by) the pursuit of liberated sexual excitement ...its attendent quality of abandon in the affect ...the mood of people who seek after it ...and crass consumerism ..commercialism ..venal consumption where more "bang for the buck" is sought and in such a rat race of mass consumption and lifestyle marketing .... he or she who dies with the most toys "wins .

Lately there has been a quite telling post from a known sex positive advocate of libertated sexuality ...Mr.Lokifreign who is a frequent participant on many of the message boards around tribe .

The legacy of Loki advocating liberated sexuality ...of making militant and deliberately provocative statements showcasing how much he likes and likes to advocate fashionably funky sexuality , has been evident for a number of years on tribe .

However, just as of the past 12 , or somewhat more , hours , there has..... at the Heated Debate tribe message board : a post from known sex positive / liberated sex advocate Loki , which does lend such a thesis somewhat even more plausibility .

So now ..... in light of the post from Loki , I think that it is worthwhile to present such statements posted by Loki (or somebody using his keyboard) to tenatively present the thesis as something a little bit beyond a mere adumbration of that notion ...and see where dialectic about that notion leads ....

Keep in mind , that Loki is a supporter *not* a detractor of liberated sexuality , so it is not as if i merely posted some polemical statements from a detractor of liberated sexuality. The funny part is ...that it is doubtful that Loki knew when he posted the comparison he made in a post in the Heated Debate message board how usefully edifying in a *backhanded* ..inadverdant way the comparison he made is for the consideration of possible similarities between the pursuit of liberated sex and the crass mileu of target marketing/ consumerism ...commercialism .

The text below is an excerpt taken from a thread at the Heated Debate tribe here on tribe .net called 'Notes For A Moral Indictment of Lokifreign' . I have decided to include the excerpt taken from the larger post initially in the present posting space to be followed in a subsequent post with a transcript of the post entire (barring extenuating circumstances or the thread getting deleted ) including date and time . The reason I start with an excerpt is becuase it is important to focus the attention of the reader on those lines of text where Loki himself compares the growing acceptance of liberated sex kink phenomenon with marketing phenomenon ....and since the larger post text contains other subject matter than such a comparison , it is necessary for the edification of the reader ...to cut to the proverbial chase to highlight that conceptual pattern .

In a third response post in this present thread that is now starting , I hope to present the hyperlink to that thread in the Heated Debate tribe so that readers can thus see for themselves that Loki (or someone using his computer) did post that text with the comparison between the promotion of liberated sex and a type of marketing and that I'm not making that up .

Though we should grant that Loki may not be represenative on every point of doctrine of the movement that supports liberated sex.....one wonders how many others in that movement embrace a propositional attitude, which accepts target marketing with as much apparent deference to it, as they embrace liberated sexual excitement ...and , moreover, whether there is an *intrinsic* conceptual link of the propositional content of the tacit embrace of target marketing by sex positve advocates , with the propositional content of the embrace of liberated sexual excitement extant in the affirmations of sex positive people ?????
